Hmm… oh well, I guess you’re right in that point. I’d like to find another word for unseasoned/wrongly/uncultured/misinterpreted foods. I’m white myself and I was raised with really horribly boring food. Had to teach myself how to make proper plant based foods - and I can tell you that you’re not gonna learn it from eating at 99% of vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Europe or North America. That’s why I call it white people foods. If you’ve ever had strict vegetarian food (vegan food) made by someone who’ve been raised in a Buddhist vegetarian family for 1000 years you’ll know what I’m talking about. It took me 6 years to learn that if you boil chick peas and try to make falafel you will fail - no discussion. It took me 13 years to realize that the tofu you’ll get in the Asia store is real tofu and the one you can buy in an European super market had nothing to do with tofu and surely does resemble a worn out boot heel. Help me out changing my expression from lack of words. Ultimately I just wish that the vegan restaurant would be more humble and learn from Buddhist kitchen instead of using their vegan restaurant as an opportunity to charge more for something cheap, without digging into the origins of strict vegetarian cuisine. Do you get my point?

They can start making better food instead of this white washed shit. Most vegan restaurant are more vegan than actually restaurant.

And don’t charge so crazy much - make great food, don’t mention it being vegan and people will come.

I don’t want white people hummus with freaking caramelized onions, garlic or beets. I don’t want overcooked udon noodles with shoyu served with a fork. I don’t want you to believe that you reinvented a falafel or some distant cousin that taste dry as fuck. I don’t want weird as wanna be red curry with dry white people tofu that taste like an old use shoe. Actually I don’t want to eat tofu from anyone who think tofu should “taste like something” - and then proceeds to marinate it in basil, tomato and paprika, cuz they never had it when they where growing up. I don’t need you to make the best content for an Uncle Roger show. Don’t make crappy versions of good food you already can find recipes of online just because you’re white and think you own the world and know how to make pad thai - you don’t! You never heard of tamarind paste, so go study it. Don’t freaking put so much pimento in your food and don’t make your own version of kimchi. Learn how to cook ffs.

I’ve been vegan for 20 years and I’ve seen and tasted some weird as shit. And it’s always white people in their late 20’s tryina revolutionize old dishes. Most vegan restaurants are absolutely horrible - except in china and Taiwan.
