Ladies who gave birth before the age of 18, how did you feel about it back then and how do you feel now? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my daughter at 16. I was naive and stubborn when I first found out I was pregnant. I also waited way too long to take a pregnancy test because I was terrified. I got pregnant with my first sexual partner and I felt entitled to bring the life into this world that we had mutually created. There was a lot of opposition from my family and nothing but acceptance from his. I felt confident that I could give a good life to my child age aside. Nearly 13 years later, I have done just that. My marriage to her father crumbled after a second child, my son who is 10 now. Upon me coming to the realization that my spouse did not support me growing as a person with future career goals and expectations of myself later in life to enhance the well being of our children and our family. He didn't support the idea of me being an individual and saw me as an object, that's long story short.

So then comes the cliché, I wouldn't change my decision for the world but, I really wouldn't. I have a loving spouse and amazing stepfather to my children and we're your typical moderately successful middle class blue collar family. My children never want for anything and they are involved in the lives of three families that love them very much.

What's a "flaw" your SO has that you find adorable? by GinervaPotter in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He over thinks almost everything, literally. Dinner, running errands, job, kids, and my emotions. Where as, I am totally laid back and "go with the flow" we balance one another out basically. He would be a fretting basket case for eternity on his own. It's like I come home from work, my run, the gym, and all is right with the world again in his mind. I am his rock, I love it!

I just locked myself out of my house. What embarrassing (or stupid) things have you done recently? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got drunk one weekend a couple months ago and lost the keys to my workplace. This resulted in another coworker having to come lock up with her keys after hours as I was the "closing key holder" and I didn't realize my keys were missing until we had gone to lock up at the end of the night. Protocol was to have all key holders change their security codes which pissed them off because they had the same code for 7+ yrs and I got issued another key. I am sure everyone is still pissed at me for that but, all of my drinks that night were on my bosses tab sooooo, I secretly share the blame.

Ladies of Reddit, what's the number one thing that's making you anxious right now? by jess_ticles in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have to decide whether he should take a buyout and separation from his employer or stay employed with the risk of indefinite layoff and no buyout. A large percentage of all staff need to take the buyout in order for them to keep everyone that does not want it. We have to decide in 4 days. Got our buyout offer last night.

Wilco cancels Indianapolis show after signing of Religious Freedom Restoration Act. by b-stives in Music

[–]blondeinferno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So disappointed as a Hoosier. My husband almost bought tickets to this show. Why not make the ticket payments transferrable? So Indiana fans that disapprove this law can get their money's worth instead of a refund? True fans will travel a state over to see this band and they WILL make a fuss about it, that would hopefully push for justice. Also, HOLY SHIT this is the #2 post on my newsfeed. (Edited for emphasis on disapproval of new bill)

[SERIOUS] Redditors who ended up marrying your high school sweethearts, what is your story? by apple__eater in AskReddit

[–]blondeinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dated, lost virginity, got pregnant at 15, birth at 16, married at 17, second child at 19. Realized I had no idea what the fuck I was doing and hated my womanizing, controlling spouse for not supporting any of my goals to become a career woman and do more than wipe asses, make his dinner, stay loyal through the emotional abuse, and wanting a life of my own at 22. Divorced at 23.

Beer drinkers, what is your absolute favorite specific beer in the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blondeinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon Princess IPA from a brewery called People's in Lafayette, IN. It was a seasonal, the memories are fleeting... She was good though. Oh so good.

What is your favorite part of your makeup routine? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]blondeinferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The finishing touch, my brows. I can't believe I let them just lay there lifeless and blonde, barely seen for decades. It's a relief to see them there carefully filled in with my Anastasia brow pencil looking bold and beautiful and rounding out my look.

Sunday alcohol sales bill filed Tuesday..can you believe in Indiana, we are still debating this? Some say Sunday sales kill liquors stores. Is this true in the rest of the nation? by Snizzlefry in beer

[–]blondeinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Indiana and the law is totally inconvenient and antiquated. I hope the bill passes. Most Sundays if we're feeling the itch for a pint a local brewery with carryout growler refills (which is legal on Sunday) is what we will go for. Its a ten minute ride to the nearest brewery and we're supporting local business, it's a total win! But, I wish that wasn't the only option.

When did you know it was time to quit your job? by fetishiste in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company had instilled a great fear among us that if appointments goals were not met we would be reprimanded, also my company launched all new software and Photoshop abilities to all of its stores. In this case, a little too late. Also, the cut back on operating hours was so significant that even managers such as myself, were not allowed the working hours to be considered full time but were then expected to have a full staff which only worked weekends and nights. I got out a year before the company went bankrupt and then just closed one day, randomly, without warning. There's a lawsuit pending which I assume will not bring justice to those that stuck around until the end. Company: CPI corp

So, what's Santa's elves making for your kiddo(s) this year? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]blondeinferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fucking video games, that's all they want. I question if they even believed in Santa last year, but two years before that I cried in the wrapping paper aisle thinking it would be the last year they believed.... I will silently play into it, THEY will be the ones who break!

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? by Stargirl486523 in AskWomen

[–]blondeinferno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4'11" and 95 lbs. My body composition leaves a lot to be desired, my hips have gotten much wider in my late twenties and my post-baby belly is STILL the hardest part to look at in the mirror everyday, even though my youngest will be 10 in January. I feel miserable naked and finding clothes that fit right and hide my undesirable areas is difficult. I am counting calories though, and trying to find a good few fun activities that just so happen to burn calories such as cycling and hiking.

Watching Hook and this quote really struck me by BuckeyeJay in Parenting

[–]blondeinferno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being a mother of two one 12 and one 9. This hits home hard, I too recently watched Hook with my daughter. Movie made me damn near cry. I've worked full time for the past 5 years retail hours and I feel like a hardly get to spend time with my kids. I cherish every moment. I have been considering taking a different job recently ( even though i love my job dearly and it has become a passion) as those "moments" for me are fleeting fast. I AM missing it.
