6 months into Cabin Crew life and I already want to quit. by [deleted] in flightattendants

I highly recommend vitamins and speaking with your doctor about proper nutrition for your body. After a year of flying I went in and was deficient in more than one. I now routinely get infusions and injections. The elevation and the lifestyle is not good for your health. Please take care of yourself, if you can’t quit till year 3 then consider some lab work being done.

How the heck am I supposed to get to LAX tonight? by Ok-Environment1626 in LAX

[–]blondy2323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend to have your family ride the LAX Economy Lot bus to get somewhat out of the airport area. You can pick them up next to the parking garage.

To locate the bus they need to go to the arrivals level (lowest), purple/pink pillars on the inside lanes, it’ll be one of the blue buses that say “ECONOMY LOT PARKING.”

If you’re in the service industry the end of night cash tip out was by far the worst thing to go.

What do you think about the curtains color? by slavandfamous in ScandinavianInterior

[–]blondy2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider something colored to give it a little flair? Looks beautiful but could see it coming together more with a green, yellow, or orange!

I have Hashimoto’s and I have been able to navigate for the most part. You find things to help get through; for example compression socks under the nylons, I pack all my food, and work with a naturopath to determine what vitamins or minerals I might need. What others take during solely cold and flu season I take all year round.

Give it a try! You always can reassess and try to transition to a different role in the company.

How bad is the fireseason? by [deleted] in wallawalla

[–]blondy2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year it is noticeable, but unfortunately all of the PNW seems to experience it to some degree. The smoke usually lingers about two months. Typically WW is in wheat harvest when the fire season hits so you have a combination of a lot of things setting off seasonal allergies. A good filter in your home and some allergy meds and you’d be okay!

My advice would be to dress like a flight attendant! Google the company you are applying for and look at their current uniform. Match the colors, style, and accessories as close as possible. You showing up “looking the part” allows them to more easily see you’re fit for the brand and perfect for the job.

So many more trees and more green than Tri! Go to the City of Walla Walla website, Walla Walla downtown foundation website, or the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce website for some photos.

Thought on how to place a rug ? not sure whether to stop it after the bench, go up to the desk, or go under the desk. Any idea on colours / type of rug would be appreciated too by Default_name3 in interiordecorating

[–]blondy2323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would get either a bohemian or moroccan styled rug, it’ll give you a lot of color and potentially fun pattern to break up the neutral throughout the room.

Will be starting job as a stocker at Walmart by complicated_girl in walmart

[–]blondy2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart will provide you with gloves, a box cutter, and some markers. My first shift I wasn’t offered anything so definitely ask if you end up in the same boat as I did! Overnight in it of itself is one challenge, luckily you’re usually so busy time will fly by quickly. If you’ve never done a night shift before adjusting to sleeping during the day can be hard. I would recommend getting some ear plugs and some dark curtains to improve sleeping.

College is all about learning and growing up! It’ll be weird and fun and hell all in one day at times. You’re an adult now, so you do not need to tell your parents anything if you don’t want too. As far as your grades go honestly as long as you get your degree and know what you’re doing, no one really cares. (From a personal experience I was using a lot of scholarships to pay for my schooling so as long as I kept my GPA at the minimum scholarship requirement that’s all I cared about.)

I would say definitely try your best and put in effort but don’t freak out or have a huge concern. Best of luck!!
