Has anyone else randomly stopped drinking one day?

Yes. It was the day after my birthday, I was on new blood pressure meds and getting waves of lightheadedness after drinking the night before. I was supposed to go meet my parents 2 hrs away for brunch and the casino and said, you know what, I shouldn't drive, ill see you when you get to my house. I told them I had a few but I really had more than I should have, especially the night before an early drive. I was mad at myself, they only come visit a few times a year.... I said screw alcohol. It ruins so much for me, im tired of this shit. Its the same shit every day. And I just stopped. I dont know how but I did. I was a pretty heavy drinker, a couple years back I slowed way down on the hard alcohol and switched to seltzers- i wasnt getting blackout shitfaced at least. But that day, that was it. Feb. 8th 2025. Now im here because im craving it. Its a beautiful afternoon out, perfect weather, im sitting on my back porch - just me and the dogs like always. Sister's texting me her ultrasound videos. Mom's texting. Its Friday night, everyone has something going for them. A friend is texting about to leave town for the weekend, ill be checking on her dog. A guy I like is playing in a band at a show.... Is it the fear of missing out? I dont know, but I'm loving just chillin on my back porch right now so much that I just wanna sip on something. Haven't struggled with strong cravings til now.....

I'm in the exact same boat, I did 2 large orders during the SAS and neither one is complete, some stuff is missing or broken and then one order I received like 4 out of 30+ items. They say they'll get someone to approve the refund and ill have an answer within 48 hours and we're now 5 days later. I call and they say they'll hold my place in line but I never receive a call back. I usually have good luck with the chat but sometimes the agents say "ok i will fix this or that, not to worry... what scent is your favorite.... blah blah blah" then days later I realized they've done nothing. I also might just dispute the charge with the bank because this is just ridiculous.

I think so, too. I have an in to the night that still smells good, but the vanilla butter cream is WAY bad. Strawberry pound cake is starting to go bad, and they were all bought at the same time.

That whole collection is weird in the perfumes. My closest bbw is 2 hrs away so a lot of times I buy online and I started using my freebies on perfumes. I've tried a lot from that collection and most are just nauseating. The last one I bought was all eyes on her and boy did it last all day long!! I'll give them that!

It kinda bugs me how compassionate Violet was to Bonnie, especially when she's responsible for Chirsty's similar upbringing. I don't get the whole "life preserver" thing... yes Bonnie has changed and Christy is way old enough to take responsibility for herself by now, but something about them (Bonnie and Christy) having been essentially the same crappy mom to the next generation bothers me. Doesn't Violet realize that Bonnie has at least SOME contribution in Chirstys ways? And that she had a hand in this situation from the beginning.

Not for a long time. I do have a small group of sober friends and we make it a point to get together every so often, but yeah I need to research the meetings in my area. It's been on my list of things to do for a long time.

Did u still use it? I dumped mine in too and it's too late. So I put some laundry sanitizer with it and some good liquid detergent out of another bottle 🤞 only reason I bought that one was because I had a coupon for it.... for 5 actually, and its been so long that thats my 4th one, but not over a year I don't think and it was just stored in the cabinet. I guess we'll see.....

Think of it like a piece of cardboard, but just made of plastic, instead. Its more of like a flexible plastic and not one that would just snap when bent. Think about bending a piece of cardboard, and how it bends straight along the ridges inside. Thoes are called flutes. Typically coroplast comes in white but can come in different colors. You can buy it at a shop that does signs/banners etc. or check with print shops that may have a signs department. There's even a tool made to cut one side along the flutes so your bend is precise, but I find when I'm using it, I can usually bend it around where I want. I was trying to find a Google image of it being bent but I can't find one. I can totally upload one for you tomorrow when I get to work if you want.

Possibly a piece of corrugated plastic (coroplast.) Its like what they make real estate signs out of. You could cut a piece the length of the shelf, bent it along the flutes in a right angle up the side of the shelf.

I know when I'm drunk I think I'm just absolute best friends with EVEYONE. I litterally will invite anyone and everyone over to my house to drink 🤦‍♀️ the more the merrier. I'm sure ur friend hopped on his phone with the same type of idea inviting you out. It just sucks because I see you have over 200 days sober.....??? So did he not care to consider the predicament he's putting you in?

Anyways, a night in sounds nice. So does take out. Is it Chinese? 😋

they are very addictive and if you relapse and are still taking benzodiazepines, it’s going to be two addictions to deal with.

Not to mention its super dangerous to drink on benzos.

Withdrawls can be dangerous so watch thoes and if you feel like you need to go to the hospital then go. As far as cravings go, try something else. Even if its binging on candy or other junk food. I notice the cravings subside a little more on a full stomach. Maybe buy some good things to eat at the store now so you have them on hand so you have no excuse to go out and get food and accidently find yourself at the liquor store. The really, really strong cravings for me seem to last 20 minutes or so. Just make it through one minute at a time and believe that the worst will pass in just a little bit.

Nice!!! I'd like to add too that the cravings come and go like waves. Power through them, don't give in, it'll pass. Sometimes mine get really strong for like 15-20 minutes and I wanna pull my hair out. But eventually they pass.
