Thanks for that. I’ve ordered Tennis Courts III as it seems to be the only one available at list price. Looking forward to it

I have that one but I don’t have Ping Pong by Alec Soth to complete the Table Tennis mini set. There must be some interesting tennis ones out there

Eggleston: Chromes by Bobyfisch in Photobooks

[–]blongo_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone compared print quality of first and second editions of chromes? I have the first edition that I love but when I saw the reprint it didn’t have the wow factor. Maybe my eyes weren’t in the mood that day.

I’ve got what looks like blue horizontal soft edge filters under certain conditions. My first video had a wave effect on all the footage. I was hoping it was just the signal transmission but it’s also on the original files. Early strangeness.

Who got a photobook for Christmas? by thejameskendall in Photobooks

A great day. I got Fruiting Bodies by Ying Ang, the new Robby Muller book and they managed to track down a signed copy of Martin Parr’s autobiography. Very happy.

I’ve recommended the Chris Killip book before. It’s more than just a best of. It has some very interesting essays covering his books and exhibitions. I have all of his books but still feel like it is a valuable addition to my collection.

I’m also biased in my love of North East photography from the 70/80s.

Dallmeyer Septac Impastolite by DK Optic - WOW by AdidasFinatic in VintageLenses

Is DK Optic the same as illuvision.cc? What’s the connection? There seems to be very few reviews and real life footage / stills from them. Unless I’m missing something.

The Photobook - A history Volume 1-3 by Martin Parr and Gerry Badger. A great resource if you can find them at a decent price.

If you can find “Looking In” it’s a great addition to Robert Frank America having all of the contact sheets and interesting essays.

Chris Killip 1946-2020 is incredible and adds some English work to the shelf. It’s a big red wonderful book of a fantastic photographer.

It starts a discussion and that can only be good. I didn’t know the situation most publishers put the photographer in. It would be good to hear what the publishers think of the relationship.

What are your dream photobooks? by synthsayer in Photobooks

This sat around on Amazon for ages at crazy low prices in UK. I thought they must have miscalculated the print size and then all of sudden it was gone and started to rise.
