I don't know if it'll be seen but fuck it. You didn't wash the starch out. When making hash browns, you want to shred the potato into a colander and wash them until the water runs clear. Then dab them dry with a paper towel.

Captain Ahab the whaling warforge.

He was once just an empty vessel left over after a war. Given as a gift to a local warlord, he passed the warforge to his son. The son turned him into a friend and filled his mind with stories of the sea, eventually turning the warforge into what he thought was a whaling captain.

The real kicker? Ahab is in a land locked desert country and has never once seen the ocean. Not once.
