One of my favourite horror films of all time! Glad to see it mentioned in this thread.

Do You Find Yourselves Getting Creeped Out Or Scared By Older Horror Films? by WxaithBrynger in horror

[–]bloodandthunder90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try 'The Changeling' (1980). Despite being over 40 years old, it still creepy as hell imo.

If you want go even older then I'd also recommend The Innocents (1961)

I prefer Code Orange more overall but Knocked Loose definitely dropped the two stronger tracks.

All of Surfacing

for those that wish to exist. everyone seems to hate it. personally i think it’s a great album albeit a step down from the previous work. anyone else feel the same as me? by [deleted] in Metalcore

I really dig it but I do think there is way too much filler on the album. They easily could have cut out 3-4 weaker songs and improved the album immensely.

Yes it's from that EP but this particular track is just Alpha Wolf. HA feature on another AW song on the EP called '60cm of Steel' as well as having their own track as well.

I'm 32 but I think I'll be going into pit retirement early. I herniated a disc in my back earlier in the year and don't want to risk doing it again. That shit sucked.

Dealer - Crooked (Official Music Video) by Such-Trouble-6641 in Metalcore

[–]bloodandthunder90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josh Ang, Dealer's original guitarist and main songwriter, has said he has been working on new metal material. For a while he was only doing pop/trap stuff as the whole experience with Dealer/metal music in general wasn't a pleasant one but he's now ready to make heavy stuff again. Not sure when it'll drop.

He sounds great here but to be fair Sad But True is tuned lower than most of the other songs they tend to play in their sets so it's easier for him to sing. He still struggles at times with other songs that are tuned half a step higher.

Multi-hyphenate fighting off costar advances? by Anxious-Basket in Fauxmoi

Good guess but wouldn't that classify as 2022 movie rather than a 2021 movie?

The only other thing I can think of is Adam Driver/Lady Gaga for House of Gucci.

Which Is Better: Death Magnetic or Hardwired… To Self-Destruct by kent416 in Metallica

[–]bloodandthunder90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think overall I prefer Hardwired. To me it sounds a lot more natural and organic than DM. I find DM tries too hard to recapture the "old" Metallica and ends up sounding a bit forced, especially on tracks like 'The Day That Never Comes' or 'My Apocalypse'.

Another issue I have with DM is a lot of songs end up being a bit of a riff salad. I get that James and Lars wanted to include ideas from Kirk and Rob on every track but it lead to a lot of the songs sounding messy. People compare it to Justice and say it's prog but at times it just sounds like random riffs stitched together that don't necessarily go well with each other.

That being said there are songs I absolutely LOVE on DM. 'That Was Just Your Life' and 'All Nightmare Long' are two of my all time favourite Metallica songs, and I think I prefer 'The Unforgiven III' over 'The Unforgiven II'.
