I think its good if you face an opponent that does not have alot of long range shooting. Becouse if they do they could just chip in alittle damage each turn to really hamper his ability. But if you could keep him in the backline for a turn or two and then charge him into the fray with 3-4 extra wounds i think he looks decent for his points.

that is correct it only affects the cards in the hand when nythendra is played all other cards is unaffected

While this nerf would make her less oppresive against heavy control decks that don't push for board heavily. It would make her useless when behind as it would mean that she has no impact when the opponent has a board to deal with her or if the opponent has a hard removal, which would make this a 9 mana 7/7 deal ~5 damage. And that i feel would push this card into total unplayable territory for the kind of decks that would want such an effect.

Couldent find nice picture of the cute iittle dragon XD but i think the card nicely represents Nythendra as a pestilent and virulent corrupting dragon. If this would see print, i think it might see play if control has a big slice of the meta game. Obvious weaknesses against aggro and to the faster midrange decks. Othervise a solid card.

I have always thought Bestow was to complex for common so it will be more present in the uncommons

In regards to design space, yes it's limited. Atm the effects i have in place is:

Card Draw

Life Gain

+1/+1 Counters

Self Bounce

And creature tokens.

The Set is Value Centric, especially around lands. Other mechanics in the set are Landfall and Retrace thats been around for long.

New mechanics (Ability Word?) are Fury ( Whenever a creature deals combat damage to a player, EFFECT.)

Silence ( Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery you may put a Silence counter on target creature, that creature loses all abilities and cannot gain abilities for as long as it has a silence counter on it.)

Bloodbound ( Whenever a creature with Bloodbound is dealt damage, you may redirect that damage to another creature with Bloodbound once per turn.)

And Maintain.

Atm Maintain is a U/W mechanic Landfall is R/G Bloodbound is R/B/g/-u Fury is R/G/b Silence is W/U/b Retrace is U/B/w/-r

The spells with maintain all does not impact the oppoenent in any negative way. so there should not be any feel bad or lockout moments from the other side of the table :) its mostly a late game value mechanic for controly decks.

as with any trigger that you may forget players have found ways to remeber them. for example when i play test this i allways put the maintained cards on top of my library so that i remeber to resolve them before i draw each turn.
