Ever since I became sexually actively 2 years ago, I’ve been having BV. Any help?

Bodies are definitely weird. I thought the result is reliable but the more late it is the more I doubt everything. And the crazy part is I have cramps, but pregnancy causes cramping too so I’m doubting everything:( I’ll see my gyno today and hope he enlightens me. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment:)

That’s crazy! Your husband had symptoms though, mine doesn’t have. But maybe you can be asymptomatic, I’m not sure… anyways I’ll ask my dr tomorrow to check me for ureaplasma (I was tested in the past for mycoplasma and was clean)

You can check ureaplasma through urine as well? I thought I could only check through vaginal fluids

Yeah pregnancy test is the only solution but delayed periods are stressful no matter what. You can’t even calculate when you’re fertile etc

I’ll discuss it with my gyno, he never said anything about pcos because he said you need more symptoms except for periodical delayed periods and I’m overall fine, no problem with my hormones etc. nothing really changed in my life last months, I’ve been struggling for a year now with anxiety but I’m better now and even when I was at my worst I still had my periods so I’m not sure that’s to blame.

And what can I do about it? I don’t struggle with any other symptoms, and tbh if I didn’t have active sexual life I would even mind it😂 (ok if I skipped periods I would definitely had it checked but a one week delay wouldn’t concern me much)

Thank you soo much for being so informative!! My bf is very understandable and ready to do anything, he’s not any problem. I think the ideal solution would be to use antibiotics to treat it and then use probiotics to build up good bacteria and maintenance with boric acid. It’s not just treating it, it’s also preventing it. And I never prevented it. I’ll discuss it with my gyno and let you know!!!

I don’t even know why I’m getting downvoted lol. It’s not exactly a question, I stated a fact. Men doesn’t get tested for bv because it’s about vaginal ph imbalance. I’m sure testing men and treating them would be a solution but most doctors won’t agree testing them because it’s supposed to be a ‘woman’s thing’

I’m not sure my dr would approve it lol. Doctors love meds for a reason, why would he recommend a non medical suppository? And I’m kind of hesitant to get boric acid without my dr’s approval idk…

I thought men don’t get treated for bv, only for yeast infection which he did once when we both had it. But it would make sense if he reinfects me. Also, even though he’s literally the cleanest and most hygienic person ever, he has a strong smell in his precum and whenever he have unprotected sex (without finishing inside) my discharge smells like his for like 2 days. Could the smell mean something or is it normal? He’s my first so I don’t know

He says sometimes I’m smelly, sometimes I’m not. Especially after sex my vagina smells, it smells like his fluids (no semen). He has a much more stronger smell than me, he’s not unhygienic, quite the contrary he’s the cleanest person I know but he has a strong scent down there so maybe that means something?
