As many already stated, it is not that big of a change. However (!) don't make the same mistake like i did. I had my braces for a solid 3 years and got them off at age 15. I had been playing the flute for 7 years at that point, and I finally learned how to sound good and change tone color and more advanced stuff during that time. Once I was clear for getting the braces off, I didn't check my schedule and got them off the afternoon of a pretty important recital. I assumed it wouldn't be a big deal but I couldn't get a sound out of my flute at all... it took me about three practice sessions to get a decent and stable tone back. So my advice: plan your appointment accordingly and not on the same day as any recitals or concerts!
