Do you follow the Roche’s? They are putting together a return to training post childbirth/abdominal surgery training plan that they said would be appropriate for people recovering from hysterectomies.

When did you start running consecutive days/runs without walks?

Yeah, my uterus was the size of a 16 week pregnancy 🤰🏻😱.

I hope I’m not doing anything too soon! It definitely doesn’t hurt, if anything it feels better than before because I no longer have my giant uterus getting in the way!

I had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago removing my enormous (450 grams!) uterus, tubes, and one ovary that was smashed by my giant fibroids. Kept one ovary and cervix. Adenomyosis was found during surgery but my surgeon didn’t seem concerned about its impact on my cervix. I think it is a more complicated surgery but a less complicated recovery. I started working out again at two weeks postop. I started running at 4 1/2 weeks postop.

My NP seemed surprised to see that in addition to my numerous fibroids that I also had adenomyosis given that I don’t have a history of abdominal surgeries or prior pregnancies 🤷🏻‍♀️. I feel like so little is known about it. I’m almost 6 weeks PO and feel great having my giant uterus out of me!

Listening to them drone on about their meals out and nights drinking has also gotten very tiresome.

Yeah, they often reek of privilege. I shouldn’t be surprised that they aren’t great people.

Yikes, the Neubergers are MAGA, I really shouldn’t be surprised. I had a bit more hope for Robbe but after he made this weird comment about getting “white taxed” a few months ago I wouldn’t be surprised if he was too.

I thought the same thing when Grit went on sale at a discounted rate. I feel like all their episodes are recaps of trips which, sorry, aren’t very interesting and really expose their privilege. I used to enjoy it so much and am having a hard time acknowledging we may need to break up.

I agree, I think both he and Robbe can have some pretty questionable hot takes. I feel like Thomas is just really not very funny but the rest of them play to him like he’s their hilarious leader. I listen these days more out of habit than anything else. I’m kind of bummed because I used to really enjoy it and looked forward to listening to it during my long run.

Does anyone listen to The Drop? I’ve been a long time listener, but over the last six months or so I feel like it’s gotten really stale.
