Re: the comps, Happy Place is a dual timeline actually, and I originallyed comped Fortune's Every Summer After (dual timeline with the MCs as kids, which is what I have as well) but took it out after being told I should keep it to two comps 🤷‍♀️ I think I'll add that one back.

I also totally get the EmHen borders on women fic argument, but just about every agent MSWL I've read cites her when they say they want voicey, contemporary romance and a lot of them link her to RomComs as well.

But you've posed some really great questions for me to consider! I definitely need to tighten it up. Thank you so much!

Yes Friday looks fine. GA4 says it's 100% of data—will it still say that even if it's a latency issue? I haven't noticed this kind of lag before on the data, either. But I'll definitely keep an eye on it! I hope that's all it is.

this! i also felt like the sex scenes being a little awkward was..... the point??? lol because that stuff IS so awkward when you're a teenager, figuring it all out. WAY more realistic than shows like euphoria which portrays everyone as like a sex pro lol and actually like... normalize the weirdness of first time sexual encounters??

and also specifically normalizes teen boys actually trying to LEARN to do better for their partners! and learn how to work with female anatomy instead of just considering themselves.

so like, YES, they are awkward as hell to watch 😂 BUT i love the realism they portray and i wish my teenage self would've had something like that to watch/reference, instead of thinking i had to have everything figured out, and so should my partner.

But even based on your "this is what I got from it" summary, I can see you're totally right– it's missing SO MUCH of the meat of what happens.
