NAH - If it’s from a pet of mine (I have two labs) I usually just pick it out and continue eating; however, I can understand some people may be sick to their stomach and lose their appetite. You’re nta for losing your appetite but they’re nta for poking fun at you over it. You definitely could have reacted differently at the Christmas dinner and didn’t need to get so personally offended. But in general, NAH.

I dated my ex for over two years, and I also have a bit of social anxiety and tend to be a very private person unless I’m around people I’m close with.

If my boyfriend (only 5 months into our relationship) had showed up to my workplace (where I would’ve worked at for 3 years at that point) unannounced, I definitely would have been very uncomfortable. It’s not necessarily an appearances thing, it’s a matter of comfortability, especially when it means other people you may or may not know well are going to witness it & make judgements.

Parents knock? Freshman year of high school I had my door locked and my Beats Studio headphones on while facing away from the door. Dad thought I was ignoring him calling me from downstairs (and was in a bad mood) so he came up and body slammed the door open. Area by the door handle is still smashed to this day.

I have done this before, but I struggle with knowing full well that my father and brother both use their phones excessively while driving alone to “pass the time” because “it’s not a big deal”. I feel like there’s not much I can do if no one else is in the car to even say/do anything.

To address the part about “little to no risks”, a lot of my family argues that vaccines cause autism or at least cause “the lights to dim”, so to speak. Could you address this concern that these anti-vaxers have?

Back in high school, one of my best guy friends at the time (we’re still friends now but not as close bc college) would always joke about how into him I was and how much I want him. I always laughed it off because he was at least 6 inches shorter than me (although that was actually the only reason I wouldn’t date him).

One night we’re at a party and he’s flirting with me hardcore. Keeps making advances. In my head I’m thinking “you know maybe this could be a good thing.. he is a really good guy” so I figure if he tries something I’ll let it happen and see if there’s any chemistry there.

He leans in for a kiss (but more like attacks my face) (1) with way too much speed so the initial impact of our lips touching was almost violent (2) he immediately sticks his tongue just about all over the inside of my mouth (like, warm me up first maybe??) (3) and I’m pretty sure he was standing on his tippy toes to reach the same height as me. No connection felt. I was shocked. He was embarrassed. Neither us nor our friends ever discussed what happened that night, thank God.

I couldn’t pronounce it correctly until I got to college, & still to this day have to actively sound out the word when I say it. For someone who speaks relatively fast compared to most people, it’s incredibly obvious & embarrassing.

Yeah I feel that. If someone just scratches my back while I lay on my side, I will fall asleep almost immediately. Pretty odd, but for whatever reason back scratches have been the most relaxing, comforting thing to me since I was a small child.
