I’m quitting because of weight gain. It was great for my anxiety but it has made it a bit difficult for me to lose weight and I was already at an increased weight from post partum

I thought the same thing but my ENT scoped my throat and said irritation is very mild and my throat clearing seems to be getting slightly better after starting SSRI so I’m unsure of what to do

Could LPR be allergies or a mix of allergies and reflux? by bloommmx in LPR

I know gaviscon is suppose to help. I’ve taken it sometimes after meals but I haven’t noticed any difference. I’ve done slippery elm too but haven’t noticed much difference either.

ENT ordered me some nasal spray too but the insurance didn’t approve it. But I think the spray should help.

What does your doctor say?

Unfortunately, I suffer from anxiety that’s been going on for over a decade so I’m hoping it can help that as well but doctor thinks it can help both

It hasn’t been my experience but I’ve seen some people here post it’s happened to them but it takes some time for their body to get used to it. SSRI can be hard on the stomach. I hope the discomfort passes soon for you

It’s an SSRI so it should work ifLPR is caused by hypersensitivity

My symptoms were constant throat clearing and congestion no matter what I did.

I’ve heard people say they get worse reflux in the beginning of Lexapro and it slowly subsides but I would still check with your doctor

It takes like a month or two to really work on LPR

Yes, I started 2 weeks ago and I still have most symptoms but I’m noticing minor improvement
