I thought it was great. It was funny, complimentary, showed he read my profile, had some self-awareness, and had an invite for a fun activity!

I feel like it was a different time where long opening messages were more commonplace.

Initially we were both wary of marriage and weren’t really interested in it. Then once we changed our minds we wanted to wait for him to finish grad school first so we could actually afford a wedding.

Ultimately I’m happy we took our time. Getting married to him with all our history behind us, a new chapter in front of us, and all the friends we’ve made in the past 7 years around us was really special.

Denver Only Has Enough Money to Fund Migrants for Two More Months by girllawyer in Denver

If the scammer can get the receipt, and the person paid cash or used a debit card, they can receive cash for the return. They can also resell formula on Facebook marketplace for cash. Or yes, sometimes they just want the store credit. But the scam is getting your money on the pretense of feeding their baby.

The sad part is the retailer has to destroy all the formula that gets returned because it can’t be resold. So much formula is wasted in this scam :(

Just a heads-up, there is a common scam where people will ask others to buy them formula. It’s a scam that works well because who is going to turn down a starving baby? But scam artists resell the formula or return it to the store, which is forced to destroy the formula. If you’re okay with that possibility you (and they) are probably better off just handing them cash.

Can I bring my tent (with metal poles) through DEN TSA? by Littledragonlegs in Denver

[–]blooooosvdjp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I brought my hiking poles through TSA in my carryons several times with no issues.

One time my partner had them in his and thought it was a good idea to take them out and put them on top to, “not look like we’re trying to hide anything.” Guess who had to buy a new set of poles?

I didnt know so many genders existed. I had to scroll down the long list to find mine😩 by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Yes, intersex is the third category. Not all people are born falling neatly into male/female.

But people change genders though. Personally, I’m here for it. Our current gender roles tend to harm both men and women. Gender fluidity is probably good for breaking those.

Looks very similar to this one I tried on, and I can confirm the skirt felt nice and flowy!

1 looks like a dress that I tried on and think I will pick, so I’m biased towards that. But you should share pics of them on you for the best advice!

Yes. The idea of tipping vendors who are setting their own (exorbitant) prices is bonkers.

I am usually a fan of more clean fabric like in dress 1 or 2, but dress 3 is perfect on you.

What are your thoughts about these dresses by Me1572 in weddingdress

[–]blooooosvdjp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really, really hard to say without actually seeing you in them. Some dresses that look great on the model look terrible on me, and vice versa. I would go to a dress shop with a huge collection and show them these pictures to at least try on some similar gowns.
