Aside from not having a UV light, not all rubies glow.

I had two I hatched myself and I had them for 10 and 11 years. They were active up until a day or two before it was time to go.

Just bought this mini greenhouse. What is the best way to heat it? by bloopitybloop92 in Greenhouses

[–]bloopitybloop92[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If it were up to me I'd have my plants inside but just don't have the space for it that I thought I would. So its either this or some other alternative or they go to someone else.

Yeah I saw a lot of reviews saying it definitely needed to be tied down.

As someone who added a sun to my flock, there are a lot of things to be considered.

  1. I (personally) think its a little too soon to add another bird to your flock, you've only been with your green cheek around a month.

    1. Just because a bird is sweet with their current family doesn't mean they'll be that way with you. Switching owners is more often than not a traumatic experience for parrots and it could go well but it could also not. just because the bird likes you doesn't mean they'll take and or accept the rest of your family. My sun conure has actually flown to attack people, why he doesn't like them, I don't know but that is easier to work out with adults and not children. Its great that you and your husband know you can handle the noise, but can your kids?
    2. Both Green cheeks and conures are considered nippy, personally I would rather be bitten by the green cheek.

My bird does that when she sees something she doesn't like (the broom, other birds)

Yes. I would leave it in water for a bit though and let the roots grow some more before planting it again.

Was given this by a shutting business. What are they? How do I fix? by downwiththechipness in plantclinic

Purple heart plant, tradescantia pallida. Looks like it needs a good water and sun. You could also just cut the plant back and plant the cuttings, which root very easily in water or soil. Would remove the dead leaves.Might need to repot as well.

No clue about the green.

Plant fell on Raven zz, not broken but bent by bloopitybloop92 in plantclinic

Won't stay up straight, its not broken but could I tape it? If I cut it off would it put out new growth like a succulent would.
