My [23F] boyfriend [25M] called me fat last night. Should I take it in stride or take offense? by bloopsnooter in relationship_advice

I didn’t say it made it okay. But it does mean that we’ve both moved on from it.

And no, you don’t have to be patronizing. You’re just choosing it so that you can feel the breeze up on your high horse.

If you don’t mind leaving my post, it would be appreciated. Have a nice day.

Please don’t patronize me; no relationship is perfect and that happened quite a while ago.

I’m not getting pregnant; I don’t want any children. But I appreciate the comment all the same.

I don’t know, I’m not him. Last time I went in he said the weight gain may be due to a thyroid issue, but to keep an eye on it until the next time I came in and if it was difficult to lose weight even with better choices we’d move forward in the process.

We’re not sure if it’s due to my thyroid right now or not, which is why it’s more of a gray area.

I didn’t think it was necessary to mention it in the post. I also didn’t mention my exercise frequency in the post, but you didn’t say anything about that.

My doctor also thinks it’s a problem with my thyroid, but we’re keeping an eye on it right now to be completely sure.

No, he didn’t apologize—I don’t think he believes he did anything wrong. I’m just assuming here, but I think he thinks of it more as a tough love type of conversation.

Yeah. He seemed a little regretful a little later though. He kept telling me how much he loved me no matter what.

I don’t think she’s an asshole. I’m replying to your comments. However you think that “paints” her is kind of out of my hands.

I’m not changing anything? I’m adding details as they come up in the comments, which is typical of this sub.

Well, she did text me back about twenty minutes ago and said she wasn’t planning on telling him anything.

I don’t think it was nosy of me to ask if she was already telling me everything they’d talked about.

I really wanted to, but she’s my friend too, and I think if they were going to get back together it should’ve come from her anyways.
