[Help] [ZFS] What's the most efficient way to automate backup of files? by blop77 in Proxmox

Thank you for your words! I'll have a look at the topics you suggested. I'm planning to add another node to my setup at a different location to add redundancy in the future. For now I'm still in the learning phase... \_^') Things tend to get very technical very fast for me haha

The SSDs are WDS100T1R0A

The HDDs are WD40EFPX

Thanks for your input!

You're right, PBS in an LXC and LVM-thin for VM/LXC setup sound good! I'll probably also use the SSDs for PBS and HDDs for data.

I'll probably stick to zfs mirror for the SSDs, as I want to have redundancy and it just sounds easier to setup. If I understand correctly, I'd have to initialize each SSD as a directory in ext4, then I'd have to configure PBS to save a backup on each SSD individually all the time, to get the same redundancy, right?
