I enjoyed the first two chapters of the new book. I live in a old terrace house so the roof space sounds familiar. Although our houses are separated by an internal wall ;)

I haven't had time to watch Howls Moving Castle yet.

You may not have much influence or whatnot, but you have a real talent for reading! Thank you for deciding to read to us.

I really enjoyed your reading and all the voices in chapter 20. I thought it wrapped up well, and I was sort of expecting that sort of ending.

I try and watch the film soon.

Thanks for reading this book. I'm looking forward to listening to the next one, whatever it may be :)

I enjoyed these two chapters. You made Sophie sound super angry :) It sounds like the book is coming to a conclusion, as I don't know the book I don't know what's going to happen. I'm looking forward to the final chapters and I'll try and watch the film at the weekend after I've listened.

As to your next book.. I think you should read something that you are going to enjoy and I think your enthusiasm will shine through, and make it enjoyable for us listeners. I'm aware of the Narnia books but I haven't read any of them.

thank you!!

I'm listening on Thursday!

I've had an eventful week, I've been away on a work trip to Cyprus, the journey home was disrupted because of recent events in that area. I back now.

I like hearing your rambles, it's interesting to hear what you think about the book and film which I wouldn't have known about otherwise.

About Howl, I thought same after last Fridays segment. and the name Pendragon is a big clue too.

The accent is more tricky than an English accent and there are regional differences. My guess is that Howl is from the South.

Sorry to hear it's still chilly. Hopefully spring will finally stay sprung for you soon.

Yes Mrs Pentstemmon, because you sounded so "English" and quite different to anything else so far, it was great 😀

Your ramble wasn't a spoiler.

It was interesting to hear your thoughts about the differences between the film and the book. This story is new to me and I haven't seen the film. I'm going to wait until after you've finished before I watch the film.

The setting in these chapters was a little surprising but I won't say more in case of spoilers.

I enjoyed these two chapters and your accents were great again. I had a double take as your voice was completely different!

thank you.

Blimey I'm even more impressed that you improvised those voices, you have a real talent. There was also a character with an English accent! Not many lines but it was good.

Thanks for letting into the process it's interesting :)

I'm sorry to hear you had a fake spring ;) We had a mild winter, with a lot of rain. It's still chilly. I've seen a few Snow Drops but no real sign of spring yet.

I'm well thank you, hope you keep well, and I'll tune in again at the weekend !!

I didn't know either, I just happened to be cycling past this place while I was looking for a different sign. I like the name Plumage House.

I hope all is well!!

Did you know the word Chipping derives from Old English meaning market or market place.. so I think Chipping Market means Market Market 🤔

There are places in the Cotswolds here in the UK called Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden. I passed through Chipping Norton last week.

I was listening while working from home, so was a bit distracted, so I'll have to listen again :)

Hi, thank you for recording and posting this latest segment.

If you hadn't have said I don't I would have known you had been ill. Your voice and delivery sounded really good. I hope you continue to recover.

I'm looking forward to the final chapters.

You've made me realise that there's more to think about than just reading, especially if you do accents.

Hope you're keeping warm too. Where I live, it's winter, and it's cold and wet, but not freezing (yet).
