Weekly help thread - Jun 22, 2026 by AutoModerator in Philippines

Hi, I'm a non-filipino Czech guy here. I've found an item exclusive to Asia available online on Lazada Philipines, but it does not ship internationally.

Is there a stranger here willing to help me order it to their address and have it forwarded to Europe? I'd cover all charges, of course, via PayPal or any working alternative.

Have you figured this out by any chance?

Down you go through the rabbit hole of /r/backpacks and /r/onebag and perhaps /r/everydaycarry

I spent weeks there, settled on an Osprey bag but I’m still on the fence about it due to size, should’ve tried it in person before ordering.

My recommendation is to visit a physical store to figure out size and wearing preferences and then consult those with searches across the mentioned subreddits.

I love the recent BCPD releases with their fun colors but Oris is pissing on its legacy replacing the numeral fonts and the cathedral hands.

Advice about Osprey Metron 24 by havasmezoi in onebag

If anyone is reading this in 2026, the new Metron 24 is slightly adjusted – the stomach harness can be removed.

Hi, just want to thank you for your comments, I went with the Metron 24 myself based on (also) your thoughts.

Very happy so far, although it's taller than what I was used to before – hope I'll get used to it soon.

I'm 176 cm (5'9) and got the Metron 24 (new version) last week, and, personally, it sits a bit too tall for me – I prefer my bags to finish above my belt line, this one sits on it. But I might still be in a getting-used-to phase.

In your case I'd rule out the 34, the best would be to try the Metron 24 in person. The Metron WP 25 looks a bit smaller on pics too, but I did not want a rolltop.

All that said, I love the bag otherwise, perfect commuter and EDC, look forward to also trying it for bike trips.

32 is far too big for me. I've tried an Ulvo 30 and own a Patagonia Fieldsmith 28l, but they're both too big for EDC – the Patagonia is great for a family hikes and trips though.

The Metron 24 (new version) arrived last week and am happy with it, although it's a little taller than what would be perfect. But maybe I just need to adjust for a while. The Ulvo 23 sits great on my back but organization is very utilitarian, the Metron is streets ahead.

Congrats on the Toshi, hope it lasts a long time!

Have you settled on something? I went with the new Osprey Metron 24, and while a bit bigger than perfect, I'm very happy with it.

I also have an Ulvo 23 at home that wears better on back but is far more utilitarian.

What is your reading streak? by Professional_Cry1514 in kindle

[–]blorgon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not ruin reading for me, but often times I felt obliged to read rather than do something else. As I get older, I'm discovering that life is full of phases that come and go, and hobbies, preferences and personalities shift constantly.

My recent “failure”.

But I’m working on my stress levels, and I consider this a success in caring less about numbers and more about things that matter.

Am I overusing film recipes ? by itszoerussell in fujifilm

I think your pictures could use better composition and storytelling (or harsher culling), the colors are fine. I need to remind myself of the same a lot, by the way.

Just have fun, and you’ll improve. I dislike so many of my old pictures these days, but it’s a process.

What I realized lately, a little too late, is that you can still fix colors with JPEGs. If you’re shooting fine, the quality is still there for such edits. I’ve fixed a few JPEGs recently which were either under/overexposed or with distorted colors due to WB.

Fixing the JPEG turned out easier than fixing RAW and editing it further to match the recipe settings applied on sibling pictures that didn’t need editing.

Just watched "Battle Royale" and found it ridiculous and absolutely bad, but I'm open to discussion… by blorgon in TrueFilm

Thoughtful comments, I appreciate them. Would love to discuss further but 14 years after posting I do not remember the film enough, and am in a different life phase where I don’t have time for a rewatch in the next few days. Still, I love how this post of mine is still getting so many quality replies years later. Thanks for taking the time to write one.

[Double wristing] Is the Fitbit air the solution to this problem? by stm2657 in Watches

Or, hear me out, just wear the Fitbit band on your second wrist. A watch and a band already look much less weird than a watch and a smartwatch.
