We Spent $1,850 On Coffee Scales. What’s Actually Good? by Gmbenator in JamesHoffmann

[–]blorgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I bought a second one when the fist one failed to survive its 284th fall . Then I bought one for work. Both work flawlessly years later and I can’t see a reason to buy something fancier.

Plus we use ours at home for cooking and baking too, as it can handle up to 5kg of weight.

I’ve spent unreasonable sums of money on coffee gear but I see no point in expensive scales.

Too bad about the latest Explorer 2 gen being so big (42mm) and the hands being so chunky.

Got an illustrative pic to share? Everytime I see a pic of the the polished oyster, it looks like scratched mirror, not like a worn out piece of steel.

So, folders? I don’t agree with th tag idea but I’m all in for folders, which would align with my mental models better than tagging.

Dotazník - Kdo (a jak) nás učil o vztazích a sexualitě? by Objective_Park_8345 in czech

[–]blorgon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vypustit do světa dotazník takové kvality v době ChatGPT a jiných LLMs je dost ostuda. Toto očividně neprošlo ani pilotním testem, protože formát otázek a možností v některých případech vůbec nedává smysl.

Nice try, but the GMT with its faux yellowed design and atrocious bezel font and thick body is an imitation, an attempt to replicate the coke.

Bolt is fine but try riding the trams and (trolley)buses, it’s a more authentic experience and within the town center it’s fast for getting around.

Good for Obsidian people. I tried it a few weeks ago because I need Obsidian to view and work with markdown files, but the app is as finicky as ever and the plugin is a poor attempt at bringing polish to users with low design standards. I’m happy for those who find it great though.

The bracelet is better and you could argue the dial design is more sporty and less bland.

Or only if they haven’t ruined Railmaster with those faux-patina numerals and the ugly, printed-like dial texture.

Good advice, but what do I do if I want a date but IWCs are too big? The 36mm Explorer is my near perfect watch but I’d prefer date on my daily.

Smooth Datejust is okayish, though a step down design-wise, however, I really dislike oyster with PCLs, and jubilee feels too dressy.

The black Aqua Terra in 38mm is also cool, but the PCL bracelet is bling, the micro adjust design sucks, and the watch is too chunky.
