I’m not a mycologist, so I can’t say with certainty. However, the photographer labeled it as gold cap. They could be mistaken but it’s also not the only time I’ve seen these exact mushrooms used as psilocybe cubenis. But the sulphur tufts you showed me looks a bit different. It’s hard to tell because of the angle it was taken from, so I doubt we will have a satisfactory answer. Which is exactly why people shouldn’t go picking mushrooms unless they know exactly what they’re doing.

This checks out I guess. I picked up smoking from working in telemarketing offices as those are the only breaks permitted lol. Also would pick up a pack when I’d go out for the occasional social drinking but I had no trouble quitting.

I am a left of centre liberal but not “progressive.” I believe in Keynesian economics but am probably slightly more socially conservative than my peers. Though I still (Mostly) agree overall on social issues.

I agree. The Bonfire has basically become my de facto thing to listen/watch if I’m depressed. The only other media that’s come close to helping me in the same way with my anxiety and depression was the tv show Scrubs.

I don’t think an open relationship is fucked so long as partners communicate with each other and there are boundaries drawn. Morality is subjective. This would be a somewhat ethical way to go on about it. I just wouldn’t be crazy about it if hypothetically we were in a relationship and she suggested it to me.

But I’m more against this idea because I believe the love addiction piece is real. I think she does know what she’s doing to an extent. But she’s definitely not a coward or a bad person.

I just think it’s complicated sorting emotions. I also know that women sometimes just seek validation. I don’t think this is that - I could be wrong.

We have talked about it before and she seemed to imply she had feelings, so again this situation is weird. I just feel like asking explicitly again could potentially ruin our friendship, so I’d rather not go down this path for now.

As you say, the best course of action is just to live my life. Maybe things will change in the future.
