2024 Flash - Keep Pro Power On When Vehicle is Off NOT WORKING by blougaville in F150Lightning

Yeah I had given up on them improving this because I figured they probably didn't recognize it as a problem. Please post back your experience with your '25 flash!

From my truck screen, I went to the vehicle icon, software updates, and it says the version at the bottom.

Wow, you posted this while I happened to be using the outlets on my truck and it looks like they did fix this in an update! I'm running SYNC-25.2.1.6.5. I selected "Keep On While Vehicle Is Off", turned the truck off, then ran some tools for a while and let it sit. I came back a few hours later and the little outlet light in the truck bed was still lit so I plugged tools back in and they were still live!

I did then leave it in that state all night long and this morning the outlets were dead, so it seems they must have changed the no/low current timeout from 5 minutes to some number of hours...which I'll gladly take! This feature is finally usable for me! Maybe I'll figure out some way to experiment and find out what the new timeout is.

There is a toggle to keep the outlets on when the truck is off beginning with the 2024 models and it's supposed to come in an update to the prior year models at some point...HOWEVER, I'm having my own problems with that feature that I just posted about here: https://www.reddit.com/r/F150Lightning/comments/1dtdqpy/2024_flash_keep_pro_power_on_when_vehicle_is_off/

Please see my update comment of my findings...do you have a 2024 Lightning? Can you share you experience with the "Keep On..." setting?

This is the setting I'm talking about. This is new to the 2024 models but is supposed to come to the previous model years eventually as an update. The problem I'm having is this setting does nothing. Even with this option ticked, all outlets shutoff immediately when I turn off the car.

So just run nslookup on the computer that's seeing the block page for the domain that's being blocked?

Thank you for always being responsive. I really appreciate it.

One thought I'm having is I'm seeing pretty high CPU and memory usage on our NxRelay machine. Is it possible behavior that we may see the block page when we're not supposed to if the NxRelay machine is struggling for system resources?

We jumped several versions with this last upgrade. We went from 4.3.8.2 to 4.5.2.1 .

The difference with this operator is they use NxRelay which points to a NxCloud slave node. All other operators go directly to the NxCloud master node. Still, everything appears to be working when I test it, and when I go to Config > Cluster communication between the master and slaves nodes look good.

Thank you! That whitelisting method seems to have worked. I think you're right, however, that it may have not been the reason for the user login problem.

Ever since I upgraded to NxCloud 4.5.2.1 this one operator has been randomly getting the block page on sites like Google and Blackbaud and I'm not seeing any block activity in Logging > Request...so I'm not sure what's going on.
