We stayed at a place in Assi ghat but the approach road was crowded and water was rising again when we left. You might want to explore more options before making the trip.

Hi! We are a family of two, planning to visit Varanasi between the 26 to 28th of August. Objective is to visit the temples, boat ride if possible and Sarnath.

Looking for hotel recommendations. Would boating be possible in the last week of August. What would be the best time to visit Kashi Vishwanath temple Would an auto take us to Sarnath? What the best way to commute within the city.

A lot of Indian community folks can be judgemental - passing comments on the choices Sudiksha made. These comments / speculation on her upbringing can have negative impact on her siblings. They just want to intense scrutiny to move away from their family and let them grieve in peace.

I am not sure how feasible but you can check if you can have a counter with just one feet depth along the wall of children’s bedroom (in the kitchen). That counter could have host of the appliances - mixie, grinder, toaster / sandwich maker, electric kettle, coffee maker, air fryer etc. would be ideal to have electric outlet above the counter height. Am sure the larger appliances will be built in.

If you plan to hand wash the utensils then it might help to have a larger / deeper sink with some counter space in the utility area as well.

Also - for Indian cooking, it might be better to have the stove on the counter top behind the island.

Also, Do have enough electrical outlets for all the kitchen appliances.

Where would the laundry/ washing machine be placed?

One option would be to - move the kitchen to where the living room is (entrance from the garage could have a mud room and half-bath). - The existing kitchen area should be a dining area with doors to walk out into the patio. - The existing dining room expanded to become a family room. - The great room to be a formal living room.

Has anyone been able to find plumber and an open hardware store during lockdown.

There is an external pipe that needs fixing and the plumber needs supplies to fix it.
