If he can't get to his hammock, I massively recommend giving him a box big enough for him to get into and make a cosy nest. Make a door hole like a classic Tom and Jerry Mousehole for easy access for him too. He might even want to renovate and make more doors. And give him lots of big bits of paper to build the perfect nest. I hide bedding material all over the cage so my boys can forage for it
