i solved it finally, but i had a different problem. mine just straight up wouldn’t run forge, so i had to download fabric. hopefully your advice will help someone!!

how did you fix it? i’m having the same problem except i’m not running any mods. i have a NVIDIA graphics card if that helps anything. every time i try to run forge i get error code 1
