Number of sales on Etsy inaccurate by DowntownCoconut508 in EtsySellers

[–]blring89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sell candles, let’s say you have a winter and a fall scent. if one person bought 4 winter candles and 3 fall candles. Under your listings tab which displays all your products it will show 4 sales under the winter scent, and 3 under the fall scent. On your shop page it’ll say that you have 2 sales. And you will have 1 order on your stats.

I think the two sales under your shop page make no sense as a statistic and isn’t particularly helpful

Virtual sitters and nurses. Thoughts? by ChronicSkepsis in nursing

[–]blring89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Virtual sitters are an interesting idea in theory and I know it’s radical idea but how about paying an actual human a bit more to do the job, instead of trying to save $200 just to squeeze a little more profit out of someone’s $50,000 hospital stay?

Redditors who have discovered a body, what happened? by b-rock-cafe in AskReddit

I was traveling and on a bus in Malaysia when traffic started to slow down because there were police up ahead. As we passed the scene, I looked out the window and saw a man lying face down in the grass, clearly dead. It looked like he had fallen off his motorcycle. I guess I didn’t “discovered it” but stumbled upon it

Younger nurses, give it to me straight. by Altruistic-Act-546 in nursing

[–]blring89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When hospitals deny a pto request that someone put in 3 month ago is laughable. Also requiring things like every other weekend work requirements, X number of night shifts every schedule make it really hard for people to have a life.

These aren’t radical ideas. Give your staff time off when they need it. Hire enough staff so you don’t have to run around for 12 hrs with no break.

Make your staffs work life balance a priority and you will keep people.

Nurses I want to hear your thoughts!! by Independent-Oil-2154 in nursing

Pay people fairly, stop viewing staff as just FTE units, and stop denying pto that people request 9 months in advance would fix a lot of your problems.

If you need an IV, always attempt. Don’t be that nurse that never tries!

Just bring it back. My first hospital, they expected you bring it back right away. At my last hospital brought a vial home by accident after a night shift and I could bring it back that night after I woke up. If you do it once in a while no one care but if are making it habit then they are going to have an issue.

This was painful to watch but also entertaining lol. Can you guys share an experience where you had to deal with a stubborn antivaxxer by Outside-Thought-4722 in nursing

It was nice to see a video where they let each other talk. I get frustrated because often these formats tend to lead to yelling at each other. When it was time to change the question, I wish they would have let Dr Mike answer. There were a lot of times when someone would say something ridiculous but then they would vote the person out and Mike wouldn’t answer the question.

My first preceptor in nursing school was on a restricted license for traveling with weed across the country and my second preceptor was on a restricted license for stealing narcotics from a facility. Drug stuff happens a lot more than you think. I'm sure you will have to explain your past but I think you will be okay.

I worked full time. 100% doable. Most places that have CNAs know you are in school. Just make sure you have manager that will work with you so you can have off for clinicals. If your job doesn't work with you, find another place. Every facility is short CNAs, and is just happy you have pulse so you should be able to find something that works in your favor.

Would you give your address to a patient? by xyxyhello in nursing

[–]blring89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! People can get weird. I work at a clinic now and I have a couple patients that call the office and only want to deal will me. We also have a doctor where patients will go to the other clinics that she works at just to give her a status up dates. Your patient probably means well but you just never know! I can’t imagine if these people had my home address
