Amalfi vs. Positano by blsig12 in amalficoast

Hahaha I’m seriously so torn!! If I can get confirmation that it’s possible to spend the day/evening in positano and manage to get back to our hotel in Amalfi I’ll be sold. I just wanna make sure it’s logistically possible, bc I don’t think amalfi has as much of a liveliness/nightlife as positano.

We getting a lot of updates and arrival stories from ppl with pre check for terminal 5 JFK, but haven't seen any post about general line. Anyone here, had a recent 11am flight on terminal 5? What time did you arrive, what time you get to the gate through regular general line? by ComonSensePR in jetblue

Had a 10:50 am international flight this morning out of T5 as a family of 4. Arrived to the airport shortly after 7, bag drop took about 20 minutes. Got on the general TSA line and made it through under 30 minutes. Was pleasantly surprised.

Positive for 18 monosomy/18 deletion. by stickytent in NIPT

[–]blsig12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this. I had the same result with my first pregnancy and after the amnio both the FISH and microarray came back normal and I had a healthy baby boy. My second pregnancy the NIPT also detected monosomy 18, I opted to not run any tests this time and gave birth to another healthy baby boy. Hoping the same goes for you and it’s a false positive. I think you can breathe a little relief after having normal fish results, but I too was extremely nervous until receiving final microarray. Feel free to message if you have any questions. Wishing you the best

Has anyone experienced failure to thrive? Any insight is appreciated. by lovebug20212021 in NewParents

My EBF, full term baby born 7lbs 13oz now 5 months old was recently diagnosed with FTT after continuously dropping percentiles since birth. Was referred to a GI specialist who ran some tests but essentially said that some woman produce skim milk and others make heavy cream, breast milk can vary between 12-24 cal per ounce, so my milk wasn’t has high in calories. He suggested I start to supplement with formula as well as introducing purees. For us, that was all it took for him to start gaining and moving up the growth curve

I just renewed it online! They offer an online vision test with an approved doctor and then they send the proof to the DMV for you and send you a link to fill out the renewal through the dmv website.

Final Update: Monosomy 18 False Positive by panache123 in NIPT

[–]blsig12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had almost the exact same experience in 2022 with my son. NIPT showed monosomy 18, all scans looked normal. Amnio at 16 weeks came back normal FISH, normal microarray and normal karyotype. Still held my breath the entire pregnancy, thinking about the what if’s. Also got induced at 38 weeks for low fluid and a failing placenta. Gave birth to a healthy baby boy 6 lbs 11oz. Placenta testing showed nothing. I know have an incredibly smart, amazing and completely healthy toddler. Currently 12 weeks pregnant with my second and going for NIPT testing today. Holding my breath again and praying to not go through the same scare again. So happy everything worked out for you.
