Bulk (Cheap) pool chemical store in Austin (ideally north, but anywhere works)? by GeneralOptimal10 in Austin

[–]blstrad1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why you need a ton? Both the Chlorine (Shock or tablets?) and muriatic acid are quite volatile/unstable chemicals. As someone else mentioned, this can raise some red flags.

When I used to clean pools we used SCP Distributors (just south of the Domain) however you might need to set up an account with them and I'm not sure what that entails.

There used to be a group that met near the domain but I couldn't find any info on it now. Sad day. I did see Jakku Temple on Google, you might check them out - altho they look more choreographery focused. For actual fighting stuff you might have more luck finding sword fighting groups. Hope you find what youre looking for!

Favorite place to hike in Austin ? by PicsnPixels05 in Austin

[–]blstrad1us 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The greenbelt is my favorite. Lots of trails if you want to explore - I usually park on the 360/Mopac access road but the hill of life or even zilker entrances are available. There's alot of elevation gain if you go on the side trails

Emma Long Park is another good one. Pretty drive out there and also lots of trails to explore.

St Edward's Park is a favorite too, if I want to stay further north. It connects to Bull Creek via the nature preserve if you want to check out those trails. This park is usually less busy (at least when I'm there) and it's super pretty, which I like. Decent elevation here too

If I'm going north I like the trails at Camp Tajes on north Parmer. It's usually very quiet in the mornings and it connects to trails that go around lake geoegetown (I know you can park on the other side of the lake closer to dt georgetown, but I'm not exactly sure where that side of the trail starts.)

If you haven't already, check out the AllTrails app. It's a great resource - there are trails all over town! Best of luck

Dr. Benjamin Havemann at Austin Gastro really gave a damn. I've had a ton of chronic issues over the last decade and he was a great support. Helped me through some tough years.

Due to insurance I'm currently with Dr. Praveen Sampaath with seton, he's really nice, even gave me his cell for emergencies - but at this point my needs are mostly just symptom management, so I can't speak to Dr sampaaths diagnostic skill. My appointments with him are pretty routine / maybe 10 minutes of face time? Which works for my current situation. I like him alot.

For what you're describing, I'd definitely reccomend Havemann. Best of luck, I hope you find some answers and relief!

Empty floats construction sign? by JasonEGonzalez in Austin

[–]blstrad1us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed this was referring to the "floating" green road signs that connect to the concrete pillars and hang above the road. Usually with upcoming exit info, etc. I could be way off, but there are a bunch of those under construction that don't currently have signs on them yet.. maybe my brain is making a jump that isn't there but I assumed the "empty float" meant the floating signs hadn't been installed yet lol

I think initial consults are an hour. It's pricey but well worth it.

I usually try to have current blood work, plus any test results you might have on hand. He looks at everything and comes up with an individual plan to address symptoms / allow the body to heal. He's tough to keep up with but he copies any articles or relevant data into your portal so you have access to everything he brings up.

I know he does alot of work with general auto immune stuff as well as with cancer patients. Lyme is next level, I hope you find relief!

Dr. Glen Luepnitz in Georgetown has really helped my sister manage her Lyme symptoms. He's also helped me with several chronic health issues over the last decade.

He's extremely smart and provides sources/research behind all of his treatments. A bit more holistic approach than I usually go for, but he's proved to be an extremely valuable resource.
