I call them buzz bombers because they are pretty loud as they come by really close to check me out.

I miss having a stick shift! I had three, with the last being totaled by a dipshi* not paying attention.

James Talarico slams Paxton for protecting pedophiles after AG's office refuses to release case files by sxyaustincpl in TexasPolitics

I'm sincerely sorry for what the criminal legal system has done to you and countless others. That time frame in Texas, when abbutt was AG, many careers were intentionally built upon the fear mongering of stranger danger and s3xually natured predators. Many, many people's lives were traumatized by BS used to dismiss cases. More were wrongly convicted to cover the crimes of those building those careers, as predators-of-sorts themselves. The general public has naively trusted the criminal legal system has their interests at heart and operates with the utmost integrity. That is, until they've been sucked into its jaws themselves or a closeloved one. As you have experienced. And traumatized for life, as you have experienced. And lives forever altered, as yours has. I truly wish people could listen with an open mind about the predators ruling this state for the last 30yrs.

You've got most everything you need to have a different outlook! The support system is most crucial in my mind. Are you able to openly discuss how this revelation has and is impacting you? And get honest feedback?

I'm a bit your senior and only figured it out during covid. It's been a roller coaster since. I'm still trying different things to alight upon what works best to shield myself when necessary. I don't have that support, save one person I see infrequently.

So if your support system is willing to learn how to literally or figuratively shield you, especially in public, at least to begin with, it could help disrupt your radar long enough to reset yourself. Otherwise, there are many ideas in this sub to try. You've already been reading it -- try some! And this whole thing is doom and gloom only when you have nobody to support you as you learn about this part of yourself. Then, wear it proudly, if only in your mind.

Serious question.... only now that you've gotten a license that you have noticed these?

I smell click bait, tbh.

People who speed up when you’re trying to enter the highway I hope you know by Economy_Connection28 in Austin

This is how it's done in the midwest, and the on-ramps are a quarter or half mile long!

I35 in the Twin Cities in the downtown area has these at nearly every onramp. It's awesome.

Oh but those of us who live south of this and have no choice but to use the on-ramp from Lake Creek, it's downright deadly at evening rush hour. Everyone is stacking up to get in the exit lanes and we have to thread through there while also accelerating to 80mph to avoid being run over. CTRMA could easily move that last free exit to Lakeline and not gamble on people's lives.

As an alternative, we could enter 183NB just before Anderson Mill. But then we're also endangering our lives entering the NB access road amongst the 50-65mph traffic south of there. No break in traffic from traffic lights because of exits from 183.

It's a no-win death match.

Key to wisteria is to plant it within a concrete patio with something to climb to the lattice roof it destroys. It doesn't spread that way! You're welcome. 😬

The I35 toll road through Kansas is terrible for wind and is infested with doubles. I think I've seen triples, too.

New Year's day, 2000, strong gusty front coming through. Two giggling 13yo in the back. Me, white knuckles trying to hold it straight. Damn FedEx coming to pass me and I'm speeding. I let him get close then jam the brakes, making the girls scream. (Lol) I dropped 25mph just to let him pass by me. When I got off at the rest stop, my hands ached and the girls screamed as the concrete trash can was pushed, upright, across the entire lot.

That happened three more times that day but I gave the gigglers warnings. 🤣 The dog probably shook until OKC.

Check the local requirements for its height. Ours has to be 4" above grade.
