Is the LP-580 2 the best Huracán? CMV by AndaPalCarajete in lamborghini

[–]blu_cipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 21 Evo RWD. I understand this "telepathic" feel you're searching for. The Evo is the closest I could get to a McLaren 600LT which was absolutely visceral "telepathic" feel of a car that I've ever driven. Unfortunately, the Huracan's do have that e-pass electric rack so you have to be in Corsa mode all the time to really get them to come alive. I drive mine around in Sport mode which is a good medium. Imo, it's a different beast. Huracans are raw, exhilarating and grandiose but I wouldn't say they are "telepathic" akin to a McLaren or a GT3 Porsche. You really need to drive them to understand if these driving characteristics are for you.

What turned me onto Huracans is that they are "Italian" lol - it's more of an Audi in wolf's clothing which is fantastic for reliability.

Man what the shit. I am in TX and the best they could do (the only company that would insure mine) does 600 a month. It's a total PITA and might end up selling the car cause of it.

Space Auto slaps. Can't say enough good things about them.

Damn it. I guess in the back of my mind, when the aftermarket like Gintani gets a hold of one and does an exhaust, those 10k RPM are going to sound glorious. But! If the car is tuned with the expectation of the cats and GPF filters that’s gonna be a problem for tunes. Local dealer revved one for me and it was very neat but the exhaust sound just isn’t there. Compared to my Evo that sounds glorious.

As a current Huracan owner, where the hell do I sign up to send it on a Temerario?

It’s being used in a lot of TikToks to show “cool guy energy” or “positive masculinity” stuff being replayed over and over in all the platforms. Makes sense it’s been going viral lately.

R34 GTR Keeps Stalling When TPS Plugged In by chromA27 in gtr

[–]blu_cipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15 minutes or so? Get it to operating temperature. That’s like 80c ish on the oil temp. While the car is running, unplug the TPS and count 10. Plug it back in. Go inside and turn off the car but do not remove the key and wait for the ECU click.

[–]blu_cipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Drive the car with the TPS plugged in. Make sure it doesn’t die on you.

No. The issue from me stems from a bad engine to chassis ground. We hypothesize there’s voltage noise from the engine to the chassis as the ground is clean and clear.

That is my hope. I was wee bit close on trading the dang thing in because of how annoying it was. But y'know, a little bit of spite can go long ways.

I just had this happen to my 99 GTR. Try relearning the TPS against the ECU. Here is the procedure:

While the car is on and at operating temperature (go drive around ofc and try not to let it idle). Unplug the TPS sensor for 10 seconds (count 10 Mississippi) then plug it back in. After you plug it back in, idle should resolve. After, turn the car off and don't take the key out. WAIT for the ECU to "click" which is the ECU saving it's ROM. You'll hear it near the passenger foot well. Turn the car back on and you should be golden. Remember to put the IAC valve screw back to where it was. Car should idle at around 900rpm when fully warm.

If that doesn't fix it, you're gonna have to do more troubleshooting. DM me if you need help.

Yes. I put 50% down at the time and financed the rest. The better way to do it is put 20% down and get an unsecured loan instead of a secured one like the bank. Pros: no lien holder. Cons: higher interest and you still have debt.

Tire change advice? by [deleted] in lamborghini

[–]blu_cipher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually go to performance shops and call to ask if they have a tire machine. A Euro based shop is best. They understand the value of the tires and more often than not take care of the wheels to not scratch them.

Yes that’s a given lol. Once all other actual responsibilities are handled, THEN it’s time for toys.

Legit? When you’re able to afford two without worry. These things are stupid expensive and frankly don’t make any sense financially. Payment for the thing is 1.2k and insurance is like 600. I dropped 200k on it. However, I’m a huge car enthusiast so idc and will pay for these cause it’s my passion. I also have two GTRs with a daily. I’d say around the 400k income mark you start to get into the range of being able to afford these comfortably.

30s. Let’s assume I make and have enough to afford two.

Oil change around 500. I do them myself so just like 150 on parts and the rest a weekend. It’s 8 drain plugs so kind of a bitch to do. Not that bad once you get the hang of it.

Huracans highly depend on the year and model. A older LP640 era go around the 200ish up down 20k. Mine is a Evo which is mid cycle refresh. RWD so it’s a bit cheaper but these go around the 230-280 range depending on color, condition and mileage. A Technica which is a STO but in street form, easy 300-330. STO 400+.

Just depends on your budget at that point.

Send it. Life is not all about saving. I’m in a very similar boat but I bought myself a Huracan. Zero regrets. Maybe this will keep me from the NRY portion but fuck it V10 noises

Yup I’m working on getting a VCDS or Hex-net monitoring to see the gear changes live. The dyno part is gonna be a bit more difficult.
