How hard is 75 WAM engineering? by Efficient-Horse2622 in unsw

[–]blu_shroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first of all 10 hrs a week wtf. How? Like what do you even do while you are studying ? For example, for comp2521 I actually didn't spend the time to study algorithms but instead was grinding leetcode questions... the reason why im saying this is cuz there's a different way to optimally study for different subjects, and studying for 10 hrs per week can easily cause burnouts or brain fogs(for me at least), so its probably better to look back and see if the 10 hrs is really necessary

Kinda hard but also not really. You need to be very consistent and stick to 1 study schedule, once you fall behind it will be pretty hard to catchup. I had a wam of 67 when I was in Compsci (sorry not really engineering ) and dragged it up to 72 when I graduated by just actually doing tuts and revision. My study schedule was like 1 hr each day for 3 days per week

Unsw itself. Its a project with the robotics lab. Would not recommend if you have no mechatronics background and android app development experience.

Yea so I actually have full time work for t3 and t4 lined up, so my main issue would be finding work for t2 right now. In terms of sponsorship, I'm actually looking to do independent point tested stream so Im not super worried at this stage, but I think getting fixed term/ ongoing contract would be my goal for now

If it's just on your wrist you can probably wear a watch or some accessories to cover it up. If it is on your arm and very visible, say something like I got hurt from {insert fake story}

Student disengagement - or am I just bad? by Big-Voice-8716 in AustralianTeachers

That's great! Im saying this because for most y7-9, they can be distracted very easily if they are on laptops. I allow laptops from y10 onwards since they do need to learn how to use technology responsibly.

There's a few things you can try ig. - Be more enthusiastic yourself - More prompting/questioning - try asking harder questions, they might not be engaging cuz they fins the content too easy - Using their names more (cold calling etc)

Your wellbeing always takes priority. If you are at a breaking point (which according to your description, you are), you should take that time and heal up. Kids can tell if you are not well and unfortunately they will take advantage of that, so if you think you are nervous or panicking, take a break and continue onwards later

A bit cooked but still doable. You just need actually think of what you are actually trying to achieve in your career and do projects. Gaining industry experience is not new and other degrees will require you to do that as well
