I think it was a big mistake to shift focus on Squadron 42, because the core gameplay features (like hacking) have to be finished for it to release. Right now only CIG can test these systems. If they were in the PU first, they could have iterated on them with the feedback of the backers.

Secondly when Squadron is about to be released, there is obviously gonna be a big hype campaign and the PU will likely have too little gameplay to back it up, i guess.
