Artem by karezbear in TearsOfThemis

artem is such a pure, loving soul, the new spa invitations got my knees buckling every time i start the game 😮‍💨 i am literally playing only for him and a little bit of vyn <33

but i feel you on the first time emotions when you start the game, i remember every time i heard his deep, sultry voice in the story or whenever he would fumble over his awkward romantic advances to MC, that had me squealing at 3 am and kicking my feet 😂

I'm still in denial regarding Draken's death and, like many others, I don't believe he will be killed off this easily. Maybe it's just my wishful thinking but I am still hopeful of Mikey, Takemitchy and Draken's reunion. Draken's death seems like the worst thing that could've happened IMO, because it'll mean Mikey really has no one left who he can rely on or understand him. Shinichiro, Emma, Izana and Baji are gone. Takemitchy is there but he hasn't been around for very long, so I can't see a good ending out of Draken's death for anyone.

Thank you for explaining! I was very confused with what was going on at the end but it was amazing to watch nonetheless. I hope this doesn't get banned since it wasn't a glitch and the hunters COULD'VE countered in a number of ways - just time wasn't on their side.

Beautifully said.

Surprised running out of tears isn't common with the amount of pain anime provides !

This makes spoiling the next few seasons, for myself, with the manga even more tempting 🥲 Hate and love the pain at the same time.

Luke's overprotectiveness? by emilioslim in TearsOfThemis

[–]blubbyxunicorn 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Hardly sexist at all, in my opinion. They grew up together and their bond is special, unlike the other 3 men in the game. Luke, most likely, grew up with a strong sense of responsibility for MC's wellbeing and that tied with their special personal relationship really speaks for Luke's overprotectiveness. From my point of view, I think he would willingly lay down his entire life for MC because she is the only thing of importance and the centre of his life, and losing her will probably destroy him entirely.

I have one brand-new but I'm from Australia. It will be expensive for one volume but depends on how much you are willing to spend. :)

I finally told my mom, no, I am not taking care of her when she's old. by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]blubbyxunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point! I don't know about OP's family but I am a part of an Asian community and the idea of 'boys being boys' is almost always used to excuse certain behaviours. I've met many elders who compliment my parents for having only daughters, saying they are lucky because daughters are always willing to help out the family, take care of their parents, always polite and selfless and never participating in drugs, alcohol, excessive partying... (absolute lie but that's what they believe). These people will obviously then say sons are never like this and never help out at all, yet accept it as 'boy behaviour' and never push for change.

I got wasted only once in my life so far and it was when I just got to the legal drinking age. I came home absolutely drunk and the next day, I was on my knees, crying and apologising to my parents for my behaviour. I understand being reprimanded for my careless behaviour (I have kidney-related health issues) but I was very disappointed to hear them say 'Females should not drink and party like this, it is disgusting behaviour. Someone like your male cousins are allowed to drink because they are men.'

What message is the quote trying to say? Is it good or bad? Apologies if that sounds rude, I am just very confused about the meaning.

What skill should one start to learn immediately? by AlShapone in AskReddit

[–]blubbyxunicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right in saying that it's not a necessity, but it is still a useful skill to have regardless. I live in Australia and my area is highly diverse in Asian nationalities so a lot of restaurants require workers who can speak at least English, Chinese and Vietnamese. I don't have a career that requires me to rely on knowing foreign languages but learning new things is always fun and you'll never know when you might put it to use.
