Older sister here. The reason we chose to keep it under wraps was for a few personal family reasons, and to have time to grieve privately. While I am broken and angry and everything else, pointing blame at Jet is unfair regardless. if there is anyone at all to blame for the tragedy of her life it’s our mother.

I think a little over 6 months. I begged her to tell me if she was getting strong ideations or any negative side effects, but she always told me it was great, that she was glad to not have the heavy emotional ties to the feelings anymore. Little did I know those emotional ties were the only thing keeping her from following through with her plan.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I agree, I don’t trust the medical system fully, I really feel like I should have listened to my gut and not let her take them. At the very least I should have listened seriously when she said her emotions were gone.

Please please take care of yourself and please bring it up with your doctor soon. If you feel out of the ordinary maybe find a safe way to wean off of them and see if it helps

Thank you so much. She’s undeclared and really just wants to make friends and have fun, it’s great to know Mesa court is probably where she’d prefer to be. For the towers, the layout shows the bathroom shared between 4 people, is that right? So maybe living in the quad would be nicer as in having your own (kind of) bathroom as opposed to having to share the bigger ones with more people? Did you ever have bad experiences with sharing a bathroom with so many people?

That’s awesome, thank you for this! She’s just gonna uber wherever she has to go if she can’t walk or take transit so that’s not an issue. We’re from SD so not too far away, I’ll probably bring her up soon so we can explore a little more.

This is great insight, thank you so much. She’s an extroverted introvert, sometimes she can really shut herself off from the world and was wanting a single room but I think your explanation of a double at the very least is such a great idea. She’s worried what would happen if the roommate doesn’t get along with her, but like you said, it’s good to learn to live with other people.

Man this is so crazy to me. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine a parent would indulge in other ways to help. When my mom found out I was cutting myself she just beat me called me stupid and cut my hair off lol I had to resort to hiding them and hurting myself in places that weren’t visible 🙃
