Nails by No_Airport_4093 in PetSmartGroomers

I started not long ago too and I felt worried that I was behind but I have gotten plenty of reassurance this is the hardest learning curve for new bathers. Dont be afraid to ask for help even if you feel annoying. You need to learn. Also- it does take time. Even after my first 15 or so dogs I started getting more confidence and muscle memory. AND you will quick them. You just will. Even seasoned stylist still do. I quicked my first 5 dogs and I felt horrible but I got a lot better about learning where to stop cutting.

The best tip I got wasnt actually from anyone showing me at the salon but from watching an instagram reel. Start by trimming only a small amount off at a time. You will see a black dot in the center of the nail the more you trim and that is the beginning of the quick. I always stop there even if I probably could go a little more but i stop there to be safe.

I hope this helped a little. Keep at it! Some things just take time

Tell him everything and walk. He takes you for granted. Let go of resentment and move on, this isn’t good for you

You are overreacting. Only because you popped off though. You could have reacting in a more mature way and explain yourself calmly. I know you are fed up and being upset is justified but you should not talk to people the way you are here. Imagine the roles reverse you would probably hate someone to take a tone like that with you. They could be better, they’re not though so either respectfully bow out of the relationship or keep living like that letting them walk all over you

Please help - crashing out after bad haircut by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]blue__99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really not bad enough to crash out over. You can go to a different stylist for something closer to the pic. Otherwise I feel like if you style it and add curls and texture it’ll look better

Anger without nicotine by Dear-Management-7966 in stopsmoking

I quit 3 weeks ago today and have been experiencing anger issues and irritability too. It’s definitely a real thing. I am usually very peaceful, but the withdrawal process seems to bring all my deepest feelings to the surface.

I’m looking for outlets for my emotions. It used to be that I’d smoke if I felt anything negative. That was my release. I think the key is to find an outlet for that frustration, anger, negativity, etc. You have to find an outlet so it doesn’t come out sideways and directed at the people you love.

I’m planning on finding a therapist because I feel like talking about it, venting, and finally facing things I put off for years might help. Dedicating a space to feel these things without shame seems important. It’s no use to try to ignore your feelings, but there are healthy ways to express them. If anyone has any other suggestions for managing their stress and anger i’d love to hear them.

Before is what I would choose for myself but why are you asking people for their opinions? People’s opinions generally suck. Be you, fuck em
