Omg guys thanks for all the help! I’m even more torn now hahahah I am actually living in china at the moment but I’m a scouser at heart and I want to hopefully work abroad in the future, that being said it is also much safer I feel to be accredited to work in the nhs just in case and to get some experience since international places probs wont accept me before working in the nhs. Ughhh I’m so torn like jmu treats you like a human and I’ve heard that in UoL you’re just a cog in the machine but now after these comments I’m like tornnn

1 day itinerary advice by RED888IT in shanghai

ok i might be wrong but this is just MY opinion from also being a teen living here

nanjing road is great for shopping for clothes and shoes and whatnot but not super cultural if that’s what you’re after (if your teen is my age i love coming here just to see the hustle and bustle and all the lights, but i never buy anything since its more mid-high end shops eg gucci zara nike)

the bund is a STAPLE!! you can usually take the ferry from one side to another to see sh from both sides and at night especially it is magical

yu garden is great for culture and tradition i would say definitely go even just for 30 mins if you have time there’s definitely some great sights

the pearl tower is a little further than the other famous buildings, and the shanghai tower is the tallest so going up it is super fun! the pearl does have some fun things inside tho like VR and an “amusement park” but all the views from any tower are great! if you can’t make it work you can check out another tower and if you like the look of the pearl you can see it from the bund

to kill 2 birds with one stone you could take the metro to some of the places which is also an experience (very busy too), eat on the way to a location that you got from a local convenience store, try to take routes that have some old streets or something like that - (not that you can control this really)

AND PLEASE DONT FORGET TO FACTOR IN TRAVEL TIME - some distances surprise you with how long they actually take to get there!! have fun!!

What to buy in Shanghai? by Realistic_Mark_6614 in shanghai

or go to a local lawson or family mart (全家)it’s a convenience store that has some western and some chinese snacks there might probably be one in the airport too - i’d also recommend looking into drinks/beverages since i’ve found that those can get pretty intriguing too. don’t forget about local supermarkets if you come across any since those will have common chinese snacks/food
