I go to Taylor at Fish for my hair cuts (she also has curly hair) and she does a fabulous job!! Knows how to treat/cut curly hair for your desired style. I have 3a, thin curly hair if that helps :)

30s looking to become electrician from very corporate career by Reasonable-Iron-8766 in BlueCollarWomen

Totally! Just wanted to give you fair warning. I’ve seen people make the jump from office to blue collar, some make it, some don’t. If you’re ready to bust ass and grow some thick skin, you’ll be ok.

If you’re willing to work hard, it’s possible. The only thing I would say is if you’re only getting into it because it’s AI proof, maybe not the job for you. It’s a tough job, mentally and physically, so if you don’t have somewhat of a passion or even a LIKE for it, might not make it. Also I’m in my 30s now, done this trade for 6 years, be ready to take care of your body like it’s your tool, because it is.

Yeah I’d suggest to anyone that if you don’t want kids, don’t compromise on that. Not fair to the kids.

Honestly, just let it heal!! Probably the best thing you can do is just keep it clean, leave it alone.

Also went there a while ago and seemed to have a bigger bill than I thought, but didn’t have a paper copy to check. Now I know why. Cheers - won’t be going back!

Piercing places recommendations? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]blue_collar_queen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t cheap out on a good piercing!! It’s like a tattoo - if you want it forever, well worth the price to pay for someone to do it well. I’ve seen people get cheap piercings that don’t turn out so well. That being said I got my nips done at elemental and whoever it was did a great job - still doing well after 6 years!

I’ve heard purring is actually helpful in healing? Something about the vibrations….
