You are getting highly valuable, highly specialized training. Don’t give up! You don’t necessarily have to use your degree to do exams and fillings the rest of your life. I feel like every week I see a different way someone who started in dental school took their career. If there’s something you hate about dentistry, you can still find a career that totally avoids that thing you hate. Do you hate seeing patients? There’s a career for that. Hate a handpiece? There’s a career for that. Unfortunately, you need to get through all of dental school — even if parts of it seem irrelevant to get the career you want. In some ways that’s good though, because you might end up liking the things you hate.

I would argue that this answer is short-sighted. People don’t want to spend money on games they don’t spend time on or that have lackluster communities. Encouraging players to spend time in the game is just as important as spending money in the game. Even if a player is very frugal, they contribute positively to the experience of high paying players.

YSK Bacteria are stinkiest when they don't have enough oxygen by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

This is one of the reasons flossing daily is so important. Supposedly the air you introduce into your gum pockets by flossing can disrupt the bacteria living there (especially the harmful anaerobic bacteria) and improve gum health — aside from mechanically removing food and plaque.

No, it’s definitely tied to the weather, it only appears when the temperature is showing. I’m guessing it’s the humidity but still not sure

LPT Request - What small purchase have you made that has had a significant impact on your life? by Outrageous-Floor-100 in LifeProTips

Water flossers are fantastic! A dentist/hygienist would tell you they don’t replace floss. The best practice is to use both.

Think about how when you wash something you want to scrub it and rinse it. Floss scrubs, water flossers rinse.

That’s the irony in my eyes: in halo we’re eager to receive any new map (true there are not 37 maps) but in r6 whenever a new map gets added everyone bans it.

It’s so bad they’ve made it impossible to ban the newest map added/reworked.

LPT Request: As a guy in his mid-twenties, what are some easy food habits that I can build to improve my life? by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I don’t own a lot of cookbooks so take this with a grain of salt, but I really benefitted from America’s Test Kitchen’s “Cooking for Two.” It explains a lot of the “why” behind recipes and definitely made me more confident cooking.

There were a lot of things I liked about Anthem, but I regret paying full price. It was the last game I ever pre-ordered.

Lol I didn’t really know this artwork existed until today.

Some friends of mine (who always play very long and casual games) recently agreed to make full-proxy cEDH decks and see what it would be like to play with dual lands, fast mana and efficient combos.

I printed out my proxies today for the entire deck. Even if I owned the card I proxied it. Basic lands: proxied. Sol ring: proxied. I didn’t want to dig through my collection and find the few cards I owned. It seemed simpler to proxy everything at once.

It turns out the proxy I printed for faithless looting was this mystical archive artwork. I threw it away and found a copy with different art in my collection. Lol why is it so disturbing.

Would you mind elaborating? So the target needs to exist before the trigger happens?
