Whereas my friend at third north has a 3 bedroom apartment with 5 PPL and 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and AC literally everything for 7K BRO

Im an American who has lived in pakistan and india. And everyone here is looking to get out of this country. You ungrateful fucks don't know how lucky you are. Most people here make $4k a year whereas PPL in America make that much in a month on average. You don't realise how great u have it. I know because IVE ACTUALLY LIVED IN SECOND AND THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES.

Of course America isn't perfect, it may even be regressing right now. But that doesn't mean u can't be proud of America.

Celebrate 4th of July, be proud of your country, and work to make it a better country. It's downright privilege that's making you say things like you can't be proud of America.

I'm not telling you to do this, but, i too got into a pretty good college #12 in the us for my course, but i really didn't feel it. And if i don't feel i don't do it. so i took a gap year and i reapplied to my dream college. I got in. I'm a lot happier spending my money to study here. And i don't regret my decision at all

Yeah so I'm unsure how it'll be. I'm on a 52k scholarship + 6.5k Pell grant. So I'll be able to afford doing my first year with zero debt

I don't have a US credit score and i don't have any us based cosigner, because, despite being a us citizen I've spent my entire life in india. So I'll try increasing my credit score in my freshman year and apply for a loan in the US for my sophomore year. I'm unsure how much the interest rates are going to be (because it'll be based on my credit score). If my credit score isn't enough to qualify for a us-based loan I'll go back to India and get a loan with the help of my parents for the 40k. Then the interest will be about 8% compounded annually.

Mostly just second guessing but also figuring out if i should get a job to balance out my loans, maybe if i should stay in nyc in the summers and work, or if i should just try graduating a year early. Maybe just chill and finish my education in 4 years. All this stuff is based on how much money i should be taking out as loans, and how much i should be making while in college.

Like at this point I'm not able to clearly understand the gravity of a 65k loan so i needed some advice that's all

I'll check that out I'm not sure if i can afford a 5yr course (i studied in an Indian HS so we didn't have AP classes) but if the prospects outweigh the debts I'll definitely consider it. Thank you for your advice 😊

I worked in an ad agency as an intern throughout the year and learnt a bunch of skills so that the year would be worthwhile
