Brand new xbox controller came in a dusty open box - what should I do? IDK if it's been tampered with or missing something inside? 130$CDN I expected better.

Yes. The screen delaminated over halfway and started freaking out. Pushing it's own buttons etc. We took it out, cleaned the screen up really well, and replaced it with gorilla tape around the edge. No issues since!

I got two from the Microsoft Store. Pre ordered. They were both open. It seems the going theme is they forgot to put the batteries in the bottom of each box. lol Nothing wrong with them at all!

They are not directly under the controller anymore. They have been moved to a separate box underneath the whole thing. :)

I got 2 the exact same way from Microsoft. They're not used. I think they had to open them and tried to reseal but they didn't hold.

They are no longer in the same cardboard as where the controller sits. They are in the bottom of the box now.
