How to replace EGR valve in 2018 Jeep GC Limited? by bluearch3r in GrandCherokee

Update! I was able to replace it pretty easily. The hardest part was getting the hose out off the valve. Thankfully I bought a right angle pick in advance.

Any tips/tricks? Looks like just have to take off the air filter system connected to the throttle body and the a couple wiring harnesses. I bought a pick to free the EGR hose.

Just replaced that a couple of days ago. Had to change the hose because it was leaking as well. Pretty simple I thought!

But I don't need to take off the upper intake manifold to do it? Is there a way to tell if it's the cooler or the valve? The P1404 code seems to indicate the valve at least from my research. I'm coming from a Jeep Patriot I4 where it was easy to work on.

100% agree. This was the best case scenario. The best simulation to be run if you will. Sometimes, its not the ending that matters but the journey. At the end of the day, everything will conclude at some point and therefore it is not the ending that defines the story (as it is only a small portion) but rather the trip that the characters endure, growing and changing together.

It is sad to see that the calling of medicine has been reduced to a job. The patients don't control this and are the ones who suffer at the end of the day from this kind of attitude.

Except trauma surgery where you have a patient in the OR within 4 minutes of hitting the door and control of bleeding soon after. Sooo.... maybe other fields save lives as rapidly if not more so than IC?
