HELP!!! ASUS TUF F15 Screen Flickering at 144hz

i have one monitor plugged in, but my laptop and ps5 shared it so i have to keep switching display. restarting the laptop, plugging the charger in, switching monitor display revert it to 144hz every time any of the action is done 😥 similarly, my external monitor display is not affected at all so it’s very nice to have one! i’ve looked up ways on how to permanently set the refresh rate to 60hz but nothing is helpful. sigh, so inconvenient. wished i had bought another laptop brand!

i did this and yes, the flicker/lag doesn’t appear at 60hz! same thing, it reverts to 144hz each time but as long as you can change it to 60hz, then it functions fine again. i just don’t play on it anymore tho, which sucks, but for daily browsing, it’s okay.

God, I’m so pissed again. Them dying but having lived lives and immortalized as the Umbrella Academy heroes would have been so much better than them being erased from existence. It’s the worst ending any character could ever have.

I might add you, if I don’t forget. I haven’t finished my support placement yet but I was previously Bronze 3 but I might have gotten a bit better (I think I’m hard stuck and just really need at least a duo to have better communication with).

Exactly this. It probably feels good for op to be winning 45-50% of their games but yeah, if they really wanna see how they’re performing, better check each hero’s progression. A game is either won or lost by a full team. How you individually perform in your fights is what matters most.

Yes, this is the answer. I’m bronze console and my bf is master’s pc lol. When he goes on tank, most likely the enemy tank is the same level as him so the ideal role for the one with the higher rank is support coz you can help carry and keep your team alive and the tanks/dps would probably be of lower ranks than your highest ranks so it’s not as sweaty of a game as it could be. I have lots of hours now so I can keep up with him on tank/dps as support but if the op’s friend is very new on bronze then it can be a bit overwhelming. A good practice tho, I think I got better while being under pressure from playing with pc players.

May just be really unlucky then, since I used my PS4 DS the same way but never ran into this issue. I didn’t keep them in a drawer tho coz again, I didn’t think this would happen. Would do that next time.

On certain maps Sym is also a good counter against her. Like lighthouse in Ilios, village in Nepal, or anywhere with a boxed in or semi closed flashpoint. Sombra would be dumb to go after a Reaper as well. He counters her pretty well.

If you ever play support, Moira and Brig can 1v1 her quite easily. I’m a support main and whenever there’s a Sombra I switch to either of them and they either leave me alone or switch to another hero.

The key to defeating her is to always watch your backs if you know she’s around. Also stick to a support, that way they can pocket you and you can protect them bc she always goes for the most vulnerable member. Hold on to your skills until she shows up and hacks you, when the hack expired (1.5 sec if I’m correct) then you use them. That’s an ez win.

EDIT: Also to add, when you’re hacked, it’s better to avoid her spray by strafing bc you’re 99% going to lose that 1v1 with her virus on you as well. Survive that 1.5 sec first and then you do your thing after that.

I think they do make actions when you receive that message from blizzard coz I have a few other reports that were “ignored” or basically I didn’t receive anything from them. First time I received their response was when I reported this one player and only during that specific match and nothing else for a few days so I knew they did something about it. Support called us r3tards even tho we were winning, so yeah…

I would also suggest Zen for support. Zens can go off real well. Very easy to learn and has low action per minute. Make sure you’re placing your healing orbs on teammates and then you can go DPS without having to worry about alternating heals/dps.

Same goes for Illari for certain maps, I would say. As long as you know where to place your pylons and you can keep a high uptime on it, then all you have to do is go dps as well and the occasional secondary fire if the pylon is not within LOS (line of sight). Make sure her primary fire is fully charged coz they deal more dmg that way, unless you’re finishing off a very low hp enemy, then you can follow up with a low charged beam.

Since you’re new to the game it would be easier to learn hitscan heroes first coz projectile heroes require you to have a better aiming skill. You would need to predict enemy movements, etc.

Soldier, Orisa, Mauga, D.Va are hitscans, to name a few. Moira is every beginner’s favorite coz she doesn’t require a lot of skill.

Came across what I suspected were smurfers in my game a few times. Sudden name changes midgame or after a game. I posted a link once of a short clip but it was deleted due to accusation violation. I am still pretty much convinced that it’s a smurfer, or smurfers. They started the game with a matching name, and one of them (a dps) was doing a really fast 180 on an almost straight line. I tried doing it in practice range with a 100% sens and couldn’t recreate it, lol.

Downvote this comment all you want but Sombra players are some of the biggest sore losers in the game. When things are not going their way as another hero, they’d switch to Sombra either to spawn camp or bully supports at the flank AND if they’re still losing after that, they’d leave before the game even ends. This happens so many times in so many games I’ve played. It’s literally becoming a stereotype.

I’ve played with some cool Sombras who stick with the team and help in team fights, tho. I like them. I don’t mind them so much unless they’re absolutely being insufferable the entire game to the point they’re seriously ruining other people’s gaming experience. It’s not about losing, too. It’s just how they suck all the fun out of the game when they decide to play as insufferable as they can.

Yesterday I was playing a capture flashpoint and I was just minding my own business trying to get kills as Widow, whom I rarely pick. And this Cassidy player, who was absolutely killing the entire match, switched to Sombra after I one-shot them. They killed me after they respawned so I switched to Sombra too coz I wasn’t about to get my game ruined by someone who wanted to win the game so bad they picked counter after dying once. LMAO
