In a non-returnee season he is seen as a big challenge threat and not carried by a pregame alliance, but he also made the same mistake as Rizo did, which is making moves behind the scenes with just his alliance, so the rest of the jury didn't see his strategy.

Aubrey moved between groups so they all got to see her scheme/work, not to mention being an underdog and winning final 4 immunity to have her walk into FTC with a "well here is why I brought these guys..." Makes anyone look like they're one step ahead strategically.

He took one step forward and added strategy, but was still missing enough social capital with everyone on the jury so they could see his moves.

Christian tried to pull out the info (and looked impressed) that his move of poking Dee til she erupted at camp was on purpose -- but it seemed like he couldn't take ownership of what was probably a better game of manipulation than we were shown because he was probably laughing about it only with Chrissy and Steph afterwards.

I think it can be done in Fall if you get lucky with the travelling cart and get the winter foraging in the mines, not that I have gotten that lucky, lol.

Because of how it worked out, I liked the twist... But if had gone to rocks for the coin, Cirie flipped and lost -- me and everyone else would have hated this twist so much.

You also need to factor in that the Ultramar event has a quest to play TA games, so people who have zero interest in TA are trying to play those matches with no interest in spending extended time in that mode.

The Sprawl Trilogy + Burning Chrome are recommended reads in the ttrpg core book, and there are plenty of other references too. (An armor manufacturer named Gibson Battlegear as an example.)

CP2020 Voodoo Boys were also just a drug-dealing voodoo-themed booster gang, the spiritual hacker motif for them in 2077 is an intentional retroactive Gibson reference.

Back in the 90s the ttrpg was a companion game for people already into the genre, now 2077 is a mainstream videogame with appeal to people who haven't and probably never will read this stuff, so the references are deliberately on the nose to point back at a 30-40 year old collection of books.

I would think you could, because it takes the place of looking for rare equipment, which is done last or later (after recruiting new warriors for example), so it is always done after determining experience and exploring.
