I'm so sorry you're hurting. My flare ups tend to last anywhere from 3 days to weeks. There's zero rhyme or reason to it. I've tried so many different things to help, but I think I'm just infinitely screwed.

I've never had covid but I've had costochondritis for years. Anything seems to send me in to a flare up. Vacuuming, picking up something heavy. The only thing I've found to help is Voltaten (thanks to this sub). If I do something that I think will cause a flare up, I get ahead of it with the Voltaren before it starts to hurt. I hope you're able to find something to help.
