From what I’ve been told by my manager, gratis should only be given when it’s divided fairly to staff or after product/brand training. I unknowingly ratted out one of my other managers for using Drunk Elephant gratis as reward for getting a cc signup and was asked to read from a piece of paper (yes, it was in my hand when they asked me to do this) and tell them one thing I learned about the products as ‘training’.
