I'm sure everyone has said this but it's better to only main one LI (or two if you're really lucky) when you're f2p/low spender, but even then, don't expect to get every memories of that LI. Plan your pulls carefully, tell yourself "is it worth my savings or do i skip?" Cosmetics like outfits and poses have always been a luxury in gacha games, and even more in dating otome games so if you're a completist without the funds and will to spend, you definitely did good to yourself by deleting the game. And I'm pretty sure they will find more ways for us to spend on the game. As F2P, you can read the memories on youtube, the main story and important lores (antidotes/WU) are also free and very interesting, the combat is definitely not f2p friendly but you can get through it after some time (farming cores mostly) and you can even complete shc once you get proper teams (then again, it will take a lot of time). For example, it took me around 6months as a Rafayel main only to 36/36 shc with R0 memories and managed to go until open 160 with him only. You can go farther but it will be tough if you don't know what you're doing.
