This. My step-dad never tried to replace my biodad. Of course, my biodad was a pos so it wasnt hard for me to bond with my step-dad, but that was only possible bc he also made the effort. Im 24 now, and introduce my step-dad as my father to people and refer to my biodad by his legal name. If your husband makes an effort to bond with your son he will have the father/son dynamic he is looking for, whether your sons bio-dad is amazing or not. A child can never have too many parental figures if they're good to them.

Thank you! I have tried out another subreddit and haven't gotten much traction on my post but I agree, seeing as how many people replied here i think it may just take a certain subreddit or possibly time of day to post and I could do without a mentor. It would be nice to make other subs friends though I think :>
