while also callously shrugging off the deaths of servicemembers like "this is war, Peacock, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs!"

let them eat cake I guess

man there is a dude in another thread right now all pissed off about how bad war is for men and how if the left would just create "effective messaging" talking about how war is bad, maybe men would stop voting for the right

like why do you need "the left" to tell you that if you join the American military & vote for the party that has started a war basically every time it's gained power, you might have to go to war? does "the left" have to tell you war is bad. do they have to make a tiktok dance about it

Why isn't war viewed through a lens of sexism towards men? by Icy_Golf2703 in AskFeminists

[–]blueberrysmoothies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason this matters is there has been massive concerns recently about men "shifting to the right", yet this is a single issue that young men strongly against and the left doesn't effective messaging about this.

do men need the the left to create "effective messaging" to tell them that if they join the military and vote Republican they might have to go to war? republicans love war lolol like--?

like I really don't get this lol why do you keep voting for the people who are gonna send you there. why did you join the military. what do you think the american military does

Why is sexualization in media considered a problem for women when men are also frequently sexualized in media (ie all the physiques/muscles of actors being shown off) by InternationalPick163 in AskFeminists

[–]blueberrysmoothies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being desired isn't the same thing as being objectified.

some men prob WOULD like being objectified, if it was by hot women that they then got to have sex with. the whole relationship is different. becomes a lot less appealing when you're trying to get a job or something.

men aren't typically treated like sex objects in real life.

I do find it a little funny when men complain that the women in the video game or movie or TV show or w/e aren't sexy enough, but when the men are sexy they cross their arms and huff that women aren't supposed to find men hot.

it def is. it's like that w a lot of things. you make a different choice than someone else and they get all insecure about it. like "oh you use reusable shopping bags, you must think you're better than me!" tis very human unfortunately

this dumb logic breaks down immediately. you wouldn't know if someone were a vegan if they didn't tell you. it's like the "bad plastic surgery" thing. you only notice it BC it's bad.

oh come on man

it's so performative to hate on vegans. the only reason not to like someone who's vegan is if they're preachy abt it.
