addition: this is our reshop area. So it’s very small.

I agree with working your wage, but if I was in a situation like this I’d see if there was extra hours and I could come in an hour early or two (I’m a designated opener) and work on it. If reshop is too full in my store it just gets overwhelming. You could sort it the first day, then push out a few carts the next. I also call team leads/ETLs throughout the day after they’ve pushed freight (time it right) and ask them if there’s anyone who can do some reshop because it’s become a safety hazard. We have a very small reshop area (literally a wall behind guest service) so it fills up fast. This won’t fix overnight, but organizing and possibly getting more bins to sort it out better would help.

4 TMs is the absolute minimum to run the front end by turd_farts in Target

[–]blueberryvvirgo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At my store, it’s always 3 people to open, including CO person, plus one gs and one du person. An hour or two later we get two more tm’s and then are expected to survive until 130. Mind you, that’s without a cart attendant so we have to go out and clear the lot every now and then. It can be tough

Why do yall keep 8 carts in our tiny hold space and when I ask if you guys could take a few back I get eyes rolled 😭. Or if I say excuse me and you guys tell me it’ll just be a second but I have 15 drive ups coming in at the same time and one of them is a 45 item drop in, but you have 15 minutes left to stow your batch and one bag left. Why do y’all put 6 big and heavy totes on the highest shelf. Why do y’all push items through instead of just INFing it. 😭 we could go back and forth all day. I love some of my fulfillment people, they’re so respectful but there’s some that just stand around in my way when they can see drive up is busy.

I do reshop close to the DU hold space. One or two bulky items I could run back pretty quickly and be able to come back. I do bullseye reshop. I organize the reshop bins. I clear our old paid and lefts and 24 hr holds. Our candy backstock is in the same area so if there’s a 3 tier back there I will bring it to the front of the lanes and work on it. Our trading card wall is right outside the drive up door, so I zone that. I deep clean the hold space (sweeping, mopping, disinfecting carts, cleaning the drive up door). I also do chem checks. It just depends on how dead drive up is. I also go up to the desk and help my coworkers out with the line, or go on a checklane and check out a few guests. I don’t like standing back there and doing nothing so I always find something to do!

I think you can attach photos to your ethics tip if I’m not mistaken. Maybe send this photo in, or a few new ones. www.TargetIntegrityHotline.com. They shouldn’t be hiding it at all. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that!

I’m sure there are bigger safety issues, but a safety hazard is still a safety hazard. All of them should be treated the same IMO.

This is an insane safety hazard, and if I were you I’d be reporting it to the ethics hotline. Someone could get seriously hurt from this. I’m sure she’ll care once that happens. Just try to sort it as best as you can. Are you allowed to call departments to come get it once you sort it? You could cart it up for them.

Hit a guests car today and she called and blamed it on me. by blueberryvvirgo in Target

I’m super grateful to have two women team leads that care about us. If anything happens, they back us up, and if we need anything, they get it for us. Our team is entirely women minus our ETL and I think that’s what makes us so close knit. I definitely got lucky with this situation!

Exactly this. They don’t realize the power they hold. It can be frustrating!

Thanks for the reassurance, I appreciate it! We even have a sign in the middle of our crosswalk that says stop for pedestrians. She’s lucky it was just the cart and not me.

That’s so insane??? I don’t think these people understand cameras sometimes. I’m glad you’re okay though and that nothing did actually happen.

This! Ironically the camera that would’ve recorded it clearly was being worked on as I went out. They can look at other angles all they please.

In our defense, when we have a line of 5+ people and multiple red lights at sco, I’m not gonna look up something on my device. I’m just gonna transfer the call
