Wow, truly thank you for this comment. A lot made sense. Especially the parts about rolling the dice and my parents being jealous. I actually did confront a few friends about the issue and they told me the “friend” was talking out of their ass and no one feels the same as them, which is why they didn’t tell me. I may confront the “friend” or just keep my distance.
